Nadal 4-6 1-2 Schwartzman*
Smart stuff from Rafa. The world number one forces Schwartzman to his right, then has him back scuttling left and finally takes the point at the net.
Break point.

Now the Nadal grunts are in full flow as he sweeps into a combination of aggressive groundstrokes, but the Spaniard drags a forehand wide.
Deuce.
Nadal 4-6 1-2 Schwartzman*
Double fault. And from 40-0, Schwartzman finds himself defending a break point.
Nadal 4-6 1-2 Schwartzman*
Agonising. A Schwartzman forehand cracks the tape, loops up and drops wide.
40-30, followed by a wayward backhand to bring up deuce.
Nadal 4-6 1-2 Schwartzman*
Rafa Nadal pops a flat backhand long, before Diego Schwartzman miscues with an attempted drop.
40-15.
Nadal 4-6 1-2 Schwartzman*
Officials on walkie-talkies is never a good sign. Diego Schwartzman waits to see if he can begin serving... the 11th seed gets the go ahead, and promptly fizzes down a couple of corkers to go 30-0 up.

Will the real Rafa Nadal please stand up? A sense of shock here as the world number one continues to toil.
Nineteen unforced errors from the world number one already.
Down a set and a break as the rain becomes heavier. Is that Rafa doing a rain dance?
Marin Cilic 5-4 Juan Martin del Potro*
We have not had a break point in eight games in the men's quarter-final match between Marin Cilic and Juan Martin del Potro. Then, like London buses, three come all at once.
Unfortunately for Juan Martin del Potro he can't take any of them so we are still on serve, just about, with Cilic 5-4 ahead.
Nadal 4-6 1-2 Schwartzman*
Schwartzman attacks the Nadal second serve from deep, looking for the Spaniard's backhand side.
The world number one misjudges his response. It's wide. Schwartzman pumps his fist into the air. The Argentine takes the break.
*Nadal 4-6 1-1 Schwartzman
Nadal, with time to pick his spot, encroaches on a short ball and hammers it into the tramlines.
Break point.
*Nadal 4-6 1-1 Schwartzman
Now it's Schwartzman with the momentum. He whips a forehand winner down the line.
Deuce.
*Nadal 4-6 1-1 Schwartzman
Ace. That was merely a flash of green...
But Rafa Nadal then pops a lethargic backhand into the net.
40-30.
*Nadal 4-6 1-1 Schwartzman
Nadal on the prowl, bounding in towards the net and forcing Schwartzman to try and go over him. But the world number one gets a swiveling backhand smash all wrong.
An exchange of delicate drop shots follow, this time Nadal's eye is in. Lovely stuff.
30-15.
*Nadal 4-6 1-1 Schwartzman
That is magnificent from the Argentine, opening up and lashing a forehand beyond a scuttling Nadal.
The Spaniard goes long. Schwartzman holds.

Who said the sun was out? Well it was.
Now brollies are being popped up all over Chatrier. I can tell you which player would prefer a rain break right now...
Nadal 4-6 1-0 Schwartzman*
Uh oh, a few brollies going up...
No rain on Schwartzman's parade at the moment, a punchy forehand winner.
40-30.
Nadal 4-6 1-0 Schwartzman*
Beautiful change of stroke from Schwartzman, sticking Nadal deep beyond the baseline before coaxing a slice just beyond the net. But then he double faults...
30-30.
Nadal 4-6 1-0 Schwartzman*
Wild from Schwartzman. Leaning back like he's about to face a pitcher and lashing it into the stands.
Nadal takes control of the point, but fires wide with an overhead volley.
15-15.
Nadal 4-6 1-0 Schwartzman*
Double fault Nadal. But it's the only blot on the Spaniard's service game.
He holds.
