Djokovic is in a great place right now. He admitted he lost motivation when he was struggling with his elbow problem and then after he had completed those four Slams in a row. Suddenly he's energised and motivated again. He has his eyes on winning more than any of them.

When you have kids you learn to balance your time a little bit. Now, with balancing family time and being a professional athlete, whatever you do on court you put in 100% work and try not waste your time out there. Djokovic definitely didn't waste any time out there tonight!
The trophy presentation is taking place so we'll hear from both players shortly. It's fair to say Rafael Nadal looks devastated.

D.ée Gouw: He has a genuine chance winning the next three grand slams if he continues to play like this. He’s definitely playing in the highest level. To win in straight sets against one of the best players is amazing. And that’s why, Novak Djokovic is our world’s no 1.

That was simply magnificent. There haven't been many better Grand Slam final performances than that.

It's incredible. For Rafa - he didn't play close to his best level, but this is one of those matches where you just have to say "too good" to Novak. He moved better, served better, hit less unforced errors. Just mentally, he stayed at the very high consistency and that is something he has been able to do.

Nadal and Djokovic have played 13 completed Grand Slam matches and this is the quickest.

Eight aces, zero double faults, five break points converted, 34 winners and 63% of the total points won.

We all anticipated this final, expecting such a close match, a repeat of the 2012 final. For Rafa, to get dispatched like this in two hours, that is really hard on him, especially after all the injury he has been through. Novak just did everything much better than him tonight.

Three Grand Slams in a row for Novak Djokovic. He'll go to Roland Garros in May and try to do what he did a few years ago - hold all four Grand Slam titles at once.

Andy McNeill: Well done Novak Djokovic. This man is taking over Rog.
James Stevenson: That was relentless from Novak Djokovic. But desperately disappointing for Rafa Nadal.
Djokovic 6-3 6-2 6-3 Nadal
Djokovic falls to his knees and roars with delight. The crowd are on their feet. They were probably expecting to be here a lot longer...

Novak Djokovic, champion in Melbourne and a 15-time Grand Slam champion. He's pulled clear of Pete Sampras in the all-time list. He has been light-years ahead of Rafael Nadal tonight. A truly sensational performance.
Djokovic 6-3 6-2 6-3 Nadal
Djokovic pushes his backhand long but gets the break when Nadal overcooks his backhand.
Ruthless. He wins a record seventh men's Australian Open title.

Nadal has had the stuffing knocked out of him in Melbourne tonight.
