Vicki Spreadbury: Went out to walk the dog just before the tennis started, assuming "well this match is going to progress slowly". Come back to find Djokovic is two sets up. What happened?!

A load of aces, some strange missed forehands from Nadal and some crazily good winners from Novak.

Rafael Nadal has taken a bathroom break. Very wise. Will he bounce back in this third set? He can't get much worse... can he?

Phil Beck: Is Nadal really playing that badly or is Novak just that much better right now? Some of Rafa's shots have been perfect - but to beat Djokovic, EVERY shot needs to be perfect.

Sho: Nadal getting absolutely destroyed here.

    No holding back there Sho.

Three aces in a row from Novak Djokovic, and that'll be the second set under his belt.

    Utterly, utterly dominant.

Richie Turner: Two one-sided semis and a one-sided final. Yet again it's the women's tournament that delivers the excitement and drama. The men's game is the inferior product at the moment.

Thomas: Can we assume there’s something physically not right with Nadal? As good as Novak is playing, Rafa just doesn’t seem to be entirely present.

Oh, ouch. Nadal follows up a delicious drop shot winner with a double fault.

This is just too good from Djokovic. Successive winners down the line come flying off his racquet, and Djokovic has himself another two break points.

Novak's showing more emotion because he is starting to feel that Rafa is coming into this match more. He doesn't want to give any chances of a comeback.

You can hear the sound of bass thumping out from somewhere the other side of the Yarra River. Quite apt because it is beating about as hard as what I imagine Rafa's heart is.

Nadal defends valiantly, but it's Djokovic who shimmies forward and unleashes a forehand winner.

Advantage, Djokovic - oh, but Nadal finds his best shot of the match to drag us back to deuce!

What a forehand that is. It's come off the top of the racquet as he's forced to run, but he's somehow managed to angle it back in.

That's a much better return from Nadal, this time to Djokovic's second serve, and a cross-court backhand is speared long by the Serb.

Djokovic coughs up a rare ugly backhand for 15-30 but he darts forward to dictate play, before a low volley goes flying past Nadal.

Well then. Djokovic, stretched on the backhand side, nets, and Nadal finally forces deuce on his opponent's serve.
