    *Konta 5-4 Vondrousova

    Advantage Konta.

    Saved.

Konta then flails her racquet at the ball twice more with little accuracy.

Frustration that she didn't convert her set-point chances?

Well, she'll have another go - this time on her own serve.

Konta is just getting a bit tight out there right now, which is understandable after two easy mistakes on set point.

    She'll make this drop-shot though.

    Nope, not enough on it.

    Deuce.

    Konta 5-3 Vondrousova*

    Two set points for Konta.

This will be sealed now as the Brit comes to the net and swats away a forehand.

    Wait, it's wide.

    One set point.

    Konta 5-3 Vondrousova*

Konta takes the game a with a forehand that just lands in.

Vondrousova goes to VAR aka Kader Nouni, who comes down off his chair and says it was "good".

    One game away is Jo.

    Konta 4-3 Vondrousova*

    Greg Rusedski
Former British number one on BBC Radio 5 Live

There's so much more variety to Jo's game. There's that belief she has. It's similar to when I had my run to the US Open final - I'd never won a match there. I think Jo's going to go all the way here. Once you win that opening match you think you're in with a shot and there's no expectations.

    Konta 4-3 Vondrousova*

The pair did meet last month at the Rome Masters - on that occasion Konta came through in three sets in the quarter-finals.

This could be done in two and Konta brings up 40-30 with a forehand with plenty of 'B' button.

Rows of empty seats are not what you'd expect to see at a Grand Slam semi-final.

After moving the match out to the 5,000-capacity third show court at Roland Garros, organisers opened it up to those with tickets for the outside courts.

Yet the entire top tier is virtually empty, with large patches of light-coloured wooden seats visible on the bottom deck.

Not a good look for the organisers, who faced plenty of criticism for moving the women's semi-finals out to the smaller show courts.

    *Konta 4-3 Vondrousova

Konta seems like she's been doing a few beep tests in her spare time.

She races to meet a Vondrousova drop but puts too much power on her return.

The Czech, who has yet to drop a set in this tournament, takes the game to love.

    Konta 4-2 Vondrousova*

Konta has been going for broke in this tournament and it's paying dividends, and other share bonuses.

The Brit pounces on a backhand which just about gets the green light - no need for a VAR.

Is this sort of tennis making Vondrousova panic into trying to match her?

It's not clicking so far for the Czech.

    *Konta 3-2 Vondrousova

    Russell Fuller

Vondrousova's got about 200 pairs of shoes, which is pretty impressive at the age of 19. She collects them.

    *Konta 3-2 Vondrousova

    Saved as Konta goes long.

But the Brit attacks once again in a short-lived deuce duel by coming to the net and powering the ball past the reach of the young Czech (she's 19).

    Broken.

And she saves once more with a huge serve and a backhand winner from the baseline.

This is it...Konta will hold now.

Nope. Her shot from the back clips the net and lands on the wrong side.

Vondrousova has yet another chance to break and this time she does after Konta produces only her seventh double fault of the tournament.

    Bad timing Jo.

    Russell Fuller

Konta has been exceptionally good at break points. No-one on tour has saved a higher percentage than she has in 2019. That's why her game and rankings are on the up.

"Not yet pal," says Konta as the Brit wallops a forehand past the racquet-head of her opponent.

    Deuce.
