    Konta v Vondrousova

Johanna Konta has cut a more content figure at the French Open this year, looking so relaxed you wouldn't know she's been making British history.

She is the first British woman since Jo Durie in 1983 to reach the semi-finals at Roland Garros.

If Konta goes a step further today, she will be the first of her compatriots to achieve the feat since Sue Barker won the French Open in 1976.

This was the scene a short time ago on my electric-scooter commute to Roland Garros.

(Electric scooters are all the rage here...)

Anyway, more importantly... the weather. My trusty BBC Weather app says there is a high percentage of light to heavy rain all day, with some gutsy winds scheduled later.

    Expect disruption.

That was Jo Konta after she thrashed Sloane Stephens in the quarters.

It certainly wasn't an emphatic declaration of how well she has been playing over the past few weeks, but perhaps that's because she knows what could be around the corner.

After all this is a Konta who was at a low after Wimbledon 2018 having been on negative gradient since reaching the last four at SW19 the previous year.

This current impressive run has somewhat gone under the radar - and maybe that's how she likes it - but victory over Marketa Vondrousova would see her take another step to becoming the first British woman to win a Grand Slam since 1977.

And that would garner a lot of attention.
