Vondorusova has a tattoo on her elbow which says 'no rain, no flowers' which I think she got after a spell away with an elbow injury.

0-30 and there are signs of Vondrousova getting a sniff of a break back, but then the Czech goes long.

    15-30.

    30-30.

  4. New coach, new Kontapublished at 10:19 British Summer Time 7 June 2019

Linking up with France-born coach Zavialoff, who enjoyed success with Swiss pair Stan Wawrinka and Timea Bacsinszky, has proved to be the spark in reigniting former world number four Konta's career.

Zavialoff's approach is giving more "autonomy" to the player, enabling Konta to trust herself to - in her words - "problem solve" better on court.

"He's been great in just encouraging me and inviting me and giving me the space to play the way I want to play and not putting too many restraints or restrictions on myself," Konta said.

    Vondrousova goes on to hold.

Nouni's shades suddenly serve another purpose, shielding his eyes from the gusts of clay which are blown up by increasing winds.

A mini sandstorm suddenly hits Roland Garros.

Red dust gets in Konta's eyes, forcing her to turn away like when you've duffed a bunker shot on the golf course and get a mouthful of sand.

Wander away from Chatrier - the hub of Roland Garros - over a cobbled path and through the idyllic Serres d'Auteuil gardens, which remind you of Kew.

Walk past a quaint brick cottage with a clock tower, drinking areas making you feel like you've arrived at a posh wedding in the Normandy countryside, and then you land at the new Court Simonne-Mathieu - where Konta's semi-final will take now place following the weather-affected reshuffle.

Named after France's second most successful female player, it is surrounded by four greenhouses which house tropical plants from South America, Africa, south-east Asia and Australia. Phytophilous heaven.

    Konta v Vondrousova

The scheduling of the women's semi-finals has come under attack.

The French Open's decision to move the women's semis away from Roland Garros' showpiece court was called "inappropriate and unfair" by WTA chief Steve Simon.

With no play possible on Wednesday and more rain forecast today, British number one Konta's and Vondrousova are playing on this 'outside' court.

Ashleigh Barty and Amanda Anisimova will meet on Court Suzanne Lenglen.
