  1. Kerber broken, then breaks straight back againpublished at 14:03 British Summer Time 2 July 2019

    Maria 4-6 1-2 Kerber*

We said there was still life in the game on Centre Court and we were right. For the third time in the match, Angelique Kerber can't hold on to a service game as Tatjana Maria breaks.

But this must be so frustrating for Maria and her coaching team as every time she breaks, she is then broken in the very next game. And that run has continued again with Kerber reclaiming control immediately, now leading 2-1 in the second set and with an advantage.

  4. How does Ward turn this around?published at 13:57 British Summer Time 2 July 2019

    Katie Falkingham
    BBC Sport at Wimbledon

James Ward looks to be slowly growing frustrated with himself. He has, after all, thrown away a two-set lead. After going 30-0 down in the first game of this final set, he bows his head, clearly at a loss as to what is going wrong.

He managed to claw back to 30-30 though, and wants the crowd to buoy him along. "Come on" he cries, while signalling they need to up the volume a tad.

It doesn't seem to help though - he's had his serve broken in the first game.

Amid the Kyrgios circus, which has been largely well-mannered if not slightly bonkers, the Aussie briefly lost his cool...

  6. Game and third set Kyrgiospublished at 13:55 British Summer Time 2 July 2019

    Kyrgios 7-6 (7-4) 3-6 7-6 (12-10) Thompson

Finally, and the relief on Nick Kyrgios' face is obvious as he closes out a mammoth third set.

Kyrgios has been crawling, running, leaping about between points, serving under arm, whooping to the crowd - you name it. But he closes out the third set tie-break 12-10 to take the lead against fellow Australian Jordan Thompson.

  7. Kerber with an immediate break in set twopublished at 13:54 British Summer Time 2 July 2019

    Maria 4-6 0-1 Kerber*

One set in the bag and Angelique Kerber has made the dream start in the second set - breaking Tatjana Maria's serve at the first time of asking.

Kerber did have her serve broken twice in the opening set though so there is still some life in this one.

Wonder what it is like signing a picture of yourself? Must feel strange, even perhaps slightly narcissistic.

Suppose Roger Federer and Rafa Nadal are used to it now.

Every day hundreds of fans squeeze against the fence outside Wimbledon's Aorangi practice courts to get a glimpse - and ideally an autograph or selfie - of their favourite players.

The shrill screams and begging pleas for Roger and Rafa are like Bros have just turned up before a concert.

And like Luke and Matt, they arrive separately for the gig.

    Ward 6-2 6-4 4-6 4-6 Basilashvili

James Ward was two sets up against Nikoloz Basilashvili but the British number five will now be taken to a fifth... Georgian 18th seed has fought back and has just taken the fourth set 6-4.

  10. Game and first set Bartypublished at 13:52 British Summer Time 2 July 2019

    Barty 6-4 Zheng

The Aussie converts the first after another error by Zheng.

The Chinese player put herself in good positions in that set but when the pressure to break Barty again in the ninth game came her way she panicked.

Hands in the air, before falling to the floor... Nick Kyrgios has a fifth set point after Jordan Thompson's attempted lob sails long.

A Thompson backhand is called wide, despite Kyrgios playing it, and Thompson challenges - Hawk-Eye says it's in, just!

"Mate, you're having a shocker," screams Thompson, who wins the replayed point.

  14. Game and first set - Kerberpublished at 13:49 British Summer Time 2 July 2019

    *Maria 4-6 0-0 Kerber

A great way to win the opening set. Angelique Kerber has set point and looks to have no chance of winning it as Tatjana Maria is ready at the net to power away a volley, but the 2018 champion somehow gets to it and produces a lovely set-winning lob.

There were five breaks of serve in that opening set, but Kerber takes it 6-4.

Barty eases off with the slices and is going for percentages.

She comes through a tricky spot in the game having found herself 30-0 down.

Now Zheng must serve to stay in the set.

Set point, Nick Kyrgios... we've seen this one before, and Jordan Thompson wipes it out with a thumping forehand down the line.

Kyrgios regains focus and brings up a FOURTH set point in the third, on serve this time, goes for a disguised deep slice, and sticks it too long.

    We go again...

    Maria 4-5 Kerber*

Twice Tatjana Maria has broken the serve of reigning women's champion Angelique Kerber, but on both occasions it has only been minutes before Kerber has fought back.

Kerber, for the third time in this match, breaks the serve of her fellow German but can she make it count now? She is serving for the opening set and you can watch it on BBC Two.
