What a way to end the day. The 15-year-old sensation that is Coco Gauff's dream Grand Slam debut continues.
The world number 313 saved two match points to beat world number 60 Polona Hercog and book her place in the fourth round.

Britain's Ken Skupski on his opponents being soaked by a sprinkler in his mixed doubles defeat earlier: "The sprinkler head behind the umpire's chair just popped up. You hear it, it's an unusual sound, and then 100 gallons of water just started nailing them.
"Fortunately the water was spraying on the other side. I've seen clips on YouTube of it happening at tournaments but not at Wimbledon, so that was unexpected.
"And to move courts and start straight away in a bit of a different environment, that was a bit unusual, but at least we might make it onto the TV tonight."

Defending champion and world number one Novak Djokovic withstood fierce pressure from Hubert Hurkacz to advance to the fourth round earlier today.
The Serb prevailed 7-5 6-7 (5-7) 6-1 6-4 against the 22-year-old Pole, who he beat in straight sets at the French Open in June.
It was a battle and there were plenty of brilliant shots from Hurkacz but Djokovic eventually came through.

Novak Djokovic seems a little bit like he has a hangover from the French. He was going for four in-a-row and that's bugging him. He just needs to step up and get into the second week. I still think he's the big favourite.

I can't imagine in the juniors she had ever been close to this. It's just about keeping it in play and hoping something can happen. And guess what? Coco did make it happen.

It's better that Coco Gauff doesn't win it this year. For her sake, long-term. We want her to be out there for 15-20 years. I think she could beat Simona Halep but I don't think she will. Halep has not had a great year and looks tight on this surface. I would obviously pick Halep to win but I'm not going to bet a whole lot on that one!

Gauff struggled with the slice, that's what Hercog brings. It did kind of look like junior tennis at stages where they were pushing the ball back and waiting for a mistake.
To beat somebody who is experienced like that at her own game - it's a good effort.

Nigel Clarkson: The fairytale continues. A girl roughly the same age as some of the ball boys & girls has won her 3rd game at Wimbledon. Such incredible talent, and back from the brink of a near 6-3, 6-3 defeat. She is greatness in the making.
Michael Scarn: Maybe let's not get carried away until she's played Halep? Gauff is undoubtedly talented but has hardly played top seeds or players at the top of their game.

We saw it all in one day. We saw Gauff being aggressive, pushing, looking like she was lost, being professional in interviews... She seemed to naturally say the right thing!
She is a great thinker on court. She sizes up her opponent and figures out what she needs to do. She was matching the slices with an opponent who loves that shot.

It's not easy to keep going and giving it your all. You're 15 and never been in this posiiton. She's the talk of the US. I think it caught up to her a little today.
I worry it's too much too soon. My Wimbledon debut, you're 18 and you get to the semis. I'm thankful I didn't win it.
She's got to be handled very carefully. Her parents seem to have great heads on their shoulders. We don't want to overwhelm her too soon.
I think Halep will be easier because she hits a solid ball. This was an awkward opponent today.

Another teenager has been in action this evening, though he's been slightly upstaged by Gauff's antics.
Canadian 18-year-old Felix Auger-Aliassime (practically ancient compared to Gauff) was seeded 19th, but failed to make it through to the fourth round after losing to unseeded Frenchman Ugo Humbert in straight sets.

Che Seabourne: Well this is turning into quite the story for Coco Gauff! A word too for Polona Hercog - who conducted herself with a lot of composure in the face of a partisan crowd. Hugely entertaining match!
