  8. Jamie Murray into second roundpublished at 19:50 British Summer Time 5 July 2019

    Murray & Mattek-Sands 7-5 7-6 (10-8) Salisbury & Dunne

US Open champions Jamie Murray and Bethanie Mattek-Sands have scraped through to the second round of the mixed doubles following a two-set battle with British pair Joe Salisbury and Katy Dunne.

In a lengthy second-set tie-break, Britain's Murray and American partner Mattek-Sands fought off two set points.

They had to come from behind in each set too. Murray reached the mixed doubles final last year with partner Victoria Azarenka, who was knocked out in the third round of the women's singles earlier today by seventh seed Simona Halep.

Chanice Hird: Let's go Coco!!!! Amazing fight back to win that second set

Stephen Jordan: Watching Coco Gauff at Wimbledon is remarkable. A 15 year old with the ability to step up in high pressurized situations and not let mistakes effect her! Good luck to her!

Sarah Williams: The noise on centre for this game is Murray level. And not just regular Murray level, thought-Murray-was-doomed-but-we’re-into-a-fifth level. Never heard this for a non-Brit before.
