Djokovic has re-entered the contest. He checked out of it in the second set.

Federer has been very even keel throughout the match. There haven't been many ups and downs for him so far.

He's played at a very high level since the start of the match.

Federer isn't letting Djokovic have even a sniff of the ball on his serve.

    Another ace seals the deal.

A change of ends now, and a change of ballboys. RUN!

Seven balls tapped into the baseline. Eleven more bounced with his hand.

A lengthening pre-serve routine is a surefire sign Novak is a little tense.

A net shot gives Federer the opening point but Djokovic then teases Federer with a drop shot at the net, leaving the Swiss stretching but he doesn't quite make it. Five years ago, Federer would have had that.

    A hold. Again.

After so many matches against each other, Djokovic still isn't reading the Federer serve well.

He's still guessing. He asks me all the time.

Every player has patterns. When you play one another you start to read those patterns.

I think that's why Roger is still on top of his game, because he keeps changing things. He keeps finding a way to surprise.

It seems Djokovic is trying to up his game after that frankly disastrous second set from the Serb but Federer is proving his equal.

Djokovic can't meet his serve at 40-15 and it's time for a change of ends.

    Gather your thoughts, fellas.

It is entertaining to see the variety and slice that Roger Federer is deploying in an attempt to bring Novak Djokovic into the net and out of position.

A couple of misjudged backhands see Djokovic hold that game. Nothing to separate these two...yet.

These next 10 minutes could decide the direction of the match.

Twice Federer saves the first point at the net before Djokovic squeezes his third effort past him.

At 15-15, a Federer backhand just edges wide of the line, before Djokovic brings up 40-15 with an ace, only to slam a forehand into the net.

Federer then does the same. Game Djokovic.

Jonathan: Djokovic strangely quiet. Is he injured? Odd set after the closeness of the first.

Wolf Princess: Even if @DjokerNole, external has just lost this 2nd set, he ought to take heart from the fact that @rogerfederer, external himself also lost his 2nd set 1:6 against @RafaelNadal, external two days ago and still managed to win in 4. Go for it, Nole!

Daniel Brown: Given how quickly that second set has just disappeared from Djokovic, somehow snatching that first set looks even more important.

I think Novak should have tried to do something with the second set, win a few more games.

He is a very emotional guy.

Though he looks very calm and mechanic on the outside, he needs to try to control that.

Just two winners but 10 unforced errors from Djokovic in that one. How will he respond?

He jogs back onto court. Federer is waiting to serve. Chop chop.
