Federer 6-4 6-7 (3-7) 3-6 1-0 Mannarino*
The crowd go a little early, but the result is the same after an exquisite point from Roger Federer in which he moves Adrian Mannarino down the line, comes to the net and is there to pick off the Frenchman after his opponent dashes to pick it up. A big hold.
*Federer 6-4 6-7 (3-7) 3-6 0-0 Mannarino
How Roger Federer needed that big serve then. Deuce once more and a little more life back in the Swiss' game, wrongfooting Adrian Mannarino with a wonderful groundstroke. Advantage Fed.
Gerasimov 6-3 3-6 7-6 (7-5) 5-1 Clarke
Egor Gerasimov is closing in on victory against Jay Clarke on court 17.
The Briton is two sets to one down against the Belarusian and now trails 5-1 in the fourth.
Clarke is serving to remain in the match, but he has an awful lot to do to turn this around from here...
*Federer 6-4 6-7 (3-7) 3-6 0-0 Mannarino
Superb from Adrian Mannarino! He is absolutely flying right now, taking control of the point and moving Roger Federer around like a chess piece. And now he has a chance to break.
*Federer 6-4 6-7 (3-7) 3-6 0-0 Mannarino
Roger Federer stutters again at the start of the fourth, sliding a backhand into the tape and it's deuce.
*Struff 4-6 0-3 Medvedev

If anyone is watching this match instead of Federer or the football, they are witnessing an absolutely beautiful display of 21st century tennis - played at it's finest. I hope Medvedev keeps this up.

Former British number one on BBC Two
I don't think it's gameplan, it's execution.
Federer knows he's got to be offensive - this is a grass court - toughest surface to defend on.
He knows he's got to play better but he has to hope his opponent's form dips a bit.
*Federer 6-4 6-7 (3-7) 3-6 0-0 Mannarino
If Roger Federer is going to make it into the second round, this match will have to go to five sets.
Has the 39-year-old got the legs for it? That's probably a silly question... he serves first in the fourth set but there is no let up from Adrian Mannarino. 30-15.
Struff 4-6 0-3 Medvedev*
Another break of serve for Daniil Medvedev and he is in charge of the second set against Jan-Lennard Struff after winning the first as well.

Sure there will be a few fans on Centre sneaking looks at the score from Wembley on their phones, or listening to 5 Live through radios.
And there is definitely one who is watching the match - we can see a bloke in front of us streaming the BBC 's coverage on his device.
Multi-tasking and second-screening at its finest. Aren't we grateful for technology at times like these...

The last time Federer lost in the first round... was 19 years ago,
Mannarino two sets to one in the lead, and he really deserves it.
Federer 6-4 6-7 (3-7) 3-6 Mannarino
And he takes it with a classy serve and volley combo! Remarkable. Adrian Mannarino leads eight-time champion Roger Federer.
Federer 6-4 6-7 (3-7) 3-5 Mannarino*
But now, set point for Adrian Mannarino!
Federer 6-4 6-7 (3-7) 3-5 Mannarino*
Adrian Mannarino then, serving for 2-1 lead in this match, having come from a set down...
Punchy stuff from the Frenchman, rifling down those left-handed serves, but then going long from the baseline. 30-30.
Germany's Andrea Petkovic is cruising against Jasmine Paolini, leading the Italian 6-4 3-0.
However Kiki Bertens is struggling in her final appearance at Wimbledon, with Ukraine's Marta Kostyuk leading 4-1.
*Struff 4-6 0-2 Medvedev
Second seed Daniil Medvedev is a set up in his match against Germany's Jan-Lennard Struff, the world number 45.
Struff had two chances of a break in the opening set, while Medvedev, who has never got past the third round here, took one of his three chances.
And things have got even better for the Russian as he has just broken Struff's serve at the first time of asking in the second set.
Federer 6-4 6-7 (3-7) 3-5 Mannarino*
Roger Federer suddenly finds himself serving to stay in the third set...
He gets a touch of luck off the net cord and then, having left a drop shot within reach of Adrian Mannarino, flicks a wonderful backhand lob over his opponent's head.
A big ace, and it's over to you, Mannarino...

Murmurings of discontent and disbelief around Centre. Federer's movement doesn't look that comfortable to me, maybe there is more bother with the knee than he is letting on.
*Struff 4-6 Medvedev
John McEnroe
Three-time Wimbledon singles champion on BBC TV
I am cautiously optimistic that Medvedev is going to win numerous majors, more than one. I think it would be great for the game if he could do so, if he can stay healthy for the next few years.
