Otte leaves one in the danger zone and it's an invite Murray just has to take. It's centre of the Centre and Murray charges forward to bullet away a backhand winner for break point number four.

Looking promising for Murray in the opening stages. The Scot seems to be moving well, he’s landing plenty of first serves and forcing Otte into some mistakes.

Still in second gear but revving along nicely.

    Kyrgios reaches round two

Nick Kyrgios is having conversations with himself in front of the media after his five-set victory earlier.

Asked if he has missed competition he replies: "Man, I compete every day. I compete when I play checkers. I compete when I play Call of Duty. I compete when I play basketball. I have the competitive sort of -- I get that thrill with anything I do. My friends back home can definitely vouch for that. When I play this game called SEQUENCE, I'm very competitive.

"But, yeah, obviously going out there and playing Wimbledon on Court One, packed crowd, against one of the best players in the world at the moment, one of the most in-form players, it's a lot of fun. I enjoy going out there. Yesterday the crowd was thanking me. They're like, 'thank you, Nick, for keeping me so entertained'.

"I'm like, 'I'm doing my best'. So I'll continue to go out there and try and give them a show and just try and bring that different aspect of tennis. A lot of people wanted me to play because of that. I'm here, I'm trying to give you what I've got. That's that."

Anyone else thinking the same as us? 'What on earth is SEQUENCE?'

    *Otte 2-2 Murray

Murray, looking fresh after that four-set win on Monday, gets Otte, himself involved in a near four-hour five-setter that was played over two days, running around the court.

The Scot takes the first three points of the game and then sends a backhand return from the baseline into the top of the net. Otte fires one down the line when Murray was hoping to pounce at the net.

But there's no panic from Murray as a great serve, down the middle and hard, is netted by Otte.

    Evans 6-3 6-3 6-4 Lajovic

    Andrew Castle
BBC Sport tennis commentator on BBC One

We have a British player in the third round of Wimbledon - and didn't he play well? The crowd really like what they see.

Lajovic will celebrate his birthday by picking up a second round loser's medal - he will be disappointed.

Diatchenko is really struggling to find any kind of rhythm and finds herself swiftly down a break at the start of the second set having allowed Raducanu to clamber back into this match.

Otte gets a bit fortunate with a net cord with a close-range backhand volley, before he sees off game three with an ace as Murray starts chatting to himself.

    *Otte 1-1 Murray

Murray runs around to set up a forehand chance and it loops perfectly into the corner, despite Otte being at full stretch.

Murray sends a serve tight into the Otte body and all he can do is wedge it long and out as the Scot starts his serving with a hold to 15.

  15. 'Thunderous serves'published at 18:27 British Summer Time 30 June 2021

    Otte 1-0 Murray*

The big question is how Murray has held up physically after his four-set win on Monday night.

The Scot spoke about how he could barely move the day after his last five-set win at the US Open in August.

Hard to tell from that first game how he has recovered. Thunderous serves touching 130mph from Otte did the damage, leading to some murmurs of surprise from the home fans.

    Evans 6-3 6-3 6-4 Lajovic

Lajovic goes wide and hands Evans two more match points. Can he take one of these opportunities?

Yes he can! The British number one races into the net and a second smash at a Lajovic return seals the deal.

An excellent performance from Dan Evans. The British number one takes a 6-3 6-3 6-4 victory on serve on Court One and deservedly receives a great reaction from the crowd.

What has Oscar Otte got for us? It's his first match with Andy Murray and the German is 6ft 4in.

He's got a decent serve on him too, with a couple of aces in a hold to 15.
