    Barty 7-5 3-2 Krejcikova*

It's started spitting on Court One, as Barbora Krejcikova questions if they're going to close the roof.

    Not just yet, it appears.

From my seat, I can see there are blue skies in the distance so hopefully they're coming towards us, rather than going the other way...

    Barty 7-5 3-2 Krejcikova*

Krejcikova checks with Barty that she's still OK to carry on playing, to which Barty says she is.

Krejcikova comes charging to the net but Barty just delicately, brilliantly, lobs the ball over her, and there's no getting racquet on that.

    30-15.

If we need the Centre Court roof to close then that will take 15 minutes. A chance for Garin to compose himself after a tough start to this match.

    Djokovic 6-2 2-2 Garin*

The last service game was a tough one for Djokovic, having to save two break points, but it's back to as it was with an easy hold to 15. Still on serve in the second.

Barty has to keep mixing things up - she like to use the kicker serve but she doesn't want to become too predictable out here.

    Barty 7-5 3-2 Krejcikova*

Big, swinging first serve from Ash Barty, and there's no returning that.

Advantage, Barty - and a bullet of a backhand up the line takes her to a hold.

    *Djokovic 6-2 1-2 Garin

    Jonathan Jurejko
    BBC Sport at Wimbledon

As one of my colleagues next to me in the media seats says, this is just a case of one player being a heck of a lot better than the other.

Simple assessment - and very true.

Garin's climb up the world rankings has been based on his clay-court success, having won a title at home in Santiago and also reaching the Madrid quarter-finals.

  10. Deuce on Barty servepublished at 14:20 British Summer Time 5 July 2021

    *Barty 7-5 2-2 Krejcikova

Barbora Krejcikova steps into the court and hurries Ash Barty's returns to get the first point on the Australian's serve.

Barty finds a lovely cross-court forehand, a bit of extra oomph wrong-footing Krejcikova, who nets, before Krejcikova finds a thundering backhand winner of her own.

A bit of danger for Barty at 40-30, and she fluffs a backhand to find herself at deuce.

  11. Garin saves break point to holdpublished at 14:19 British Summer Time 5 July 2021

    *Djokovic 6-2 1-2 Garin

That's a good hold from Garin to see off the break point. Every point Garin makes is hugely cheered by the crowd, not necessarily against Djokovic, just wanting to see a competitive match.

    Djokovic 6-2 1-1 Garin*

Garin's serve enables Djokovic to create some space to wind up the forehand, but he can only send it into the net, deuce.

    Djokovic 6-2 1-1 Garin*

A two-handed backhand from the baseline goes long from Garin and that gives Djokovic a chance of a break, 30-40.

    Pliskova 6-2 4-1 Samsonova*

It's continuing to go eighth seed Karolina Pliskova's way on court 12 - she's now a set and 4-1 up on Ludmilla Samsonova.

  15. Krejcikova holds from deucepublished at 14:16 British Summer Time 5 July 2021

    *Barty 7-5 2-2 Krejcikova

Boom. Ace from Krejcikova, her first of the set, to move in front.

Barty then pushes a backhand just - and I mean just - over the tramlines, and that'll be a hold for the Czech.

  16. Djokovic sharpening sensespublished at 14:15 British Summer Time 5 July 2021

    Djokovic 6-2 1-1 Garin*

Danger averted for Djokovic - that will have sharpened his senses, facing break points.

  17. Djokovic saves two break points to holdpublished at 14:14 British Summer Time 5 July 2021

    Djokovic 6-2 1-1 Garin*

You get the feeling Cristian Garin might not get too many chances on the Djokovic serve so that's a game that slips through the fingers.

He has two break points, but can't take either one and Djokovic holds.

    Barty 7-5 2-1 Krejcikova*

"That's out!" says Barty, before realising that, er, it probably isn't. She's already made the challenge, though, and both she and Krejcikova grin as the ball is shown to have landed smack on the baseline.

Barty gets a huge round of applause as a remarkable pick up and lob completely beats her opponent.

The Czech pushes a backhand long and we're gonna have another deuce.

"Idemo Nole!" The Serbian equivalent of 'Come on Andy!' and 'Vamos Rafa!' gets an airing as Djokovic's serve is tested for the first time in the match.

  20. Bautista Agut and Rublev fight backpublished at 14:11 British Summer Time 5 July 2021

Fifth seed Andrey Rublev is battling back in the second set of his men's singles tie against Marton Fucsovics of Hungary on court two.

Rublev lost the first set 6-3 but the Russian has just broken Fucsovics and swiftly backed it up with a hold of serve to take a 5-3 lead.

After being blown away 6-1 in the first set, Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut has also shown a lot more fight in the second against Denis Shapovalov of Canada, which is currently pegged at 2-2.
