    Djokovic 5-1 Garin*

A hold to love and a ripple of applause from the fans in Centre. It's near-flawless from Djokovic and it's 5-1 to the world number one.

    Barty 7-5 Krejcikova

    Anne Keothavong
Former British number one on Tennis Breakfast

It was a slow start from Barty but once she started landing first serves, the error count started going up for Krejcikova.

If Barty can maintain this level - she's the one with the grass court pedigree.

    First blood to Ashleigh Barty.

She's quietly happy with that one, a clenched fist and a stare over to her box at the other end of the court.

She's halfway to her first Wimbledon quarter-final.

    *Korda 6-3 4-6 3-6 7-5 2-0 Khachanov

It's advantage Sebastian Korda in his fifth set against Karen Khachanov.

Russian 25th seed Khachanov saves two break points from 15-40 down in his opening service game of the deciding set, but the 21-year-old Korda seizes his third opportunity to edge in front on court 18.

The American has the quarter-finals in his sights on his Wimbledon debut.

This could be a quick afternoon for Novak Djokovic. And he is not the sort of man to take his foot off the gas.

If Djokovic could have picked any seed to play in the last 16 then it would have been one who is a clay-courter and has a 5-5 record on grass.

That's what he's up against in Cristian Garin.

  8. 'Barty went the scenic route'published at 13:56 British Summer Time 5 July 2021

    *Barty 7-5 Krejcikova

    Peter Odgers
    BBC Sport commentator

That will do nicely from Ash Barty - she went the scenic route and had to come back from a break down but she secures the first set.

  9. Djokovic gets the double breakpublished at 13:56 British Summer Time 5 July 2021

    *Djokovic 4-1 Garin

And there's the double break for Djokovic. He had drawn his opponent into the net, then lobbed him, Garin chased it back spun round and sent a forehand wide.

Garin, a superb clay court player but already looking out of his depth here, on grass, against Djokovic.

  10. Game and first set - Bartypublished at 13:55 British Summer Time 5 July 2021

    Barty 7-5 Krejcikova

From a break down, Ash Barty takes the opener!

That was better from Barty, who grew into the set, and she shakes her fist at her box as Krejcikova sends a lofted backhand out of bounds.

    Barty 6-5 Krejcikova*

Back-to-back errors, including another fluffed volley, don't help Barbora Krejcikova's cause as she goes 0-30 down.

She can do nothing with a good, deep return from Barty, and it's another three set points to Barty...

    Djokovic 3-1 Garin*

Djokovic with two break points for a double break after Garin mistimes a forehand and sends it weakly into the net. 15-40

  13. Game and first set - Shapovalovpublished at 13:52 British Summer Time 5 July 2021

Canada's Denis Shapovalov - the conqueror of Andy Murray - has strolled through the first set of his tie against Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut on court three, chalking up a comfortable 6-1 success.

The 10th seed wrapped up the set in 33 minutes, with four aces, and sealing it with a crisp forehand winner.

  14. Pliskova on a rollpublished at 13:52 British Summer Time 5 July 2021

    Pliskova 6-2 1-0 Samsonova*

When we last updated you on Karolina Pliskova, she was leading 3-2 on serve in the first set v Liudmila Samsonova.

Well, she won the next three games to get the first set in the bag and has just held serve at the start of the second.

Definitely a few Aussies among the crowd today. Big cheers as Ash Barty holds.

The pressure is firmly back on Barbora Krejcikova's shoulders as she serves to stay in this set.

After 50% capacity was allowed on Centre Court last week, we've taken another step back towards normality today.

Up to 75% are allowed on the 15,000-seater court, meaning more fans are sat in the upper deck than previously.

The tight gangways in the historic old place are back to their slow-shuffling best.

    Djokovic 3-1 Garin*

Novak Djokovic has only dropped one set in three matches, and has only lost one point on his serve, which is looking very impressive.

It's a hold to 15 and this is easy work so far for Djokovic.

  18. Barty holds to lovepublished at 13:51 British Summer Time 5 July 2021

    Barty 6-5 Krejcikova*

We've still not seen the best of Ash Barty but she's doing better in defence, her shots finding their targets a little more often.

She gets to 40-0 thanks to a second serve out wide that gets larruped long by Barbora Krejcikova, before she crouches and sends a punchy, spinny backhand over that can't be returned.

    Over to you, Barbora.

    Excellent from Barbora Krejcikova.

She finds back to back big serves that Ash Barty can do nothing with, and she keeps herself in this opening set.

    Barty 5-4 Krejcikova*

Advantage Krejcikova, thanks to a nifty drop shot, but she sends another forehand long to keep the game going.
