    Novak Djokovic v Matteo Berrettini

    John McEnroe
Three-time Wimbledon singles champion on BBC TV

Matteo Berrettini needs to bring belief to the table.

You're playing a guy who is chasing history and who might be considered the greatest player who ever lived. It's time to step up to the plate.

Djokovic senses when there's anxiety. He senses when he needs to go bigger, when to go forward. He is an incredible player, we're talking God-like status.

    I hope it's a five-setter.

There's not a lot of space on Henman Hill with groups of fans staying as socially distanced as they can as they grab a good vantage point to watch the men's final on the huge screen.

Plenty of picnics, pizzas and beverages being consumed and I spotted a few England football shirts as well in what is set to be a brilliant day of sport in the capital.

The flag gives it away. Vlad Trenkic hails from southern Serbia but now lives in Nottingham.

He managed to bag Centre tickets last night before heading down the M1 this morning.

Vlad is here with other members of the 'Nole Fam' - Djokovic's hardcore supporters.

"We are a bit nervous but we are hoping for the best," says Vlad. "But of course I think he will win."

Djokovic does not always seem to enjoy the full support of the Wimbledon crowd, but Vlad insists there will be plenty of backing for the world number one today.

"We have a lot of fans here who will be supporting Novak. He has a huge global following - in India, Africa, South America - and look at our group here," he says, pointing over to about 20 Nole Fam members.

"Only one is Serbian. The rest are mainly based in Britain, although one girl travelled from China for this Wimbledon."

Wimbledon is famously a football-free zone, but that hasn't stopped plenty of fans arriving in England shirts, hats and other paraphernalia.

You can spot a Gazza Italia '90 replica in the background here, with Elliot Gargan and Emily Caplan, from north-west London, wearing more contemporary shirts.

The pair have tickets on Centre Court.

"It does feel weird to be here wearing football shirts," says Elliot. "We're hoping for a good final, but a quick one so we can get to the pub in Fulham to watch the football."

Those thinking they could hang about and watch the Euro 2020 final on Wimbledon's big screen were sadly mistaken. The All England Club will not be showing the game.

On what it means to be English today, Emily says: "Put it this way, we've listened to Three Lions three times before we got here today."

Elliot adds: "We thought we'd let the Italian win the tennis and we can win the football."

    Novak Djokovic v Matteo Berrettini

    Boris Becker
Three-time Wimbledon champion on BBC TV

Matteo Berrettini needs to play his best match. One statistic that doesn't have numbers is mentality. He really needs to believe.

Most players, when they face difficulty against Djokovic, they falter.

Does he have the right winner's mentality?

You had to be early to bag a spot at Henman Hill.

The viewing spot next to Court One - AKA Murray Mound - is already full with the 1,000 people allowed to watch today's action on the big screen. Usually about 2,000 cram in.

That sees picnicking people dotted around the sides - and behind the koi carp-filled water feature - trying to catch a glimpse.

    Tim Henman
Former British number one on BBC TV

It's complete opposite ends of the spectrum and it will be interesting to see how Berrettini deals with the nerves in his first Grand Slam final.

The early exchanges, the first seven games or so, if Berrettini can keep in touch and get the crowd on his side then you begin to paint the picture of how an upset could happen today.

But a lot of things need to fall into place for Berrettini.
