Both teams are letting their tennis do the talking at the moment. Norrie and Broady keep their noses in front, Broady using his towel to cover their tactical talk at the changeover.

    Murray/Skupski 6-3 2-2 Norrie/Broady*

No let up here for Norrie and Broady. Another convincing hold from Murray and Skupski - this one to love - keeps the pressure on the lefties.

After all the chat and the ribbing between the players in their WhatsApp group, not heard any on-court trash-talking yet...

Racquets down, headsets on... At the changeover, after Broady and Norrie hold, it is Murray and Skupski's turn to have a chat with the television commentators.

"It's fun to be back playing, the boys are bringing some good energy so we have to match that," says Murray, whose words are slightly hampered by his panting.

"We're feeling butterflies and feeling the pressure."

    Murray/Skupski 6-3 1-1 Norrie/Broady*

Back to Roehampton... Liam Broady and Cam Norrie hold their service game and then, like at the start of the first, earn a break point.

Broady grunts as he scampers across the baseline like Roadrunner to meet a Murray return, lobbing the ball back. Norrie gets the return back before another high ball is dispatched by Skupski into the covers.

Good sign for Team Soul. Again they show plenty of heart - and not to mention fast feet - to hold serve.

  6. Kyrgios responds...published at 13:53 British Summer Time 23 June 2020

Nick Kyrgios - never short of a word - has been one of the most vocal critics of the Adria Tour event.

Earlier this week he called the players involved "bone-headed"...

  8. Djokovic tests positive for coronaviruspublished at 13:49 British Summer Time 23 June 2020

While the players have a swig of water and an energy bar, let's just go back to that big breaking news...

Novak Djokovic and his wife Jelena have tested positive for Covid-19.

That comes after fellow players Grigor Dimitrov, Borna Coric and Viktor Troicki all revealed they had tested positive after playing at Djokovic's Adria Tour competition.

  9. Murray & Skupski win first setpublished at 13:47 British Summer Time 23 June 2020

    Murray/Skupski 6-3 Norrie/Broady

"That's good, well played," says Broady as Murray hits a winner for a 40-0 lead.

Three set points... they need just the one. Murray lands a second serve which Broady can only bat back into the net from behind the baseline.

Decent half an hour's work that, That's why they are the favourites...

    *Murray/Skupski 5-3 Norrie/Broady

Cameron Norrie is the midfield general here, ordering Liam Broady around the court. Apparently Cam is a Newcastle footy fan, shades of Rob Lee there.

It works. The pair drag themselves from 0-30 to hold. Still in these set...

    Murray/Skupski 5-2 Norrie/Broady*

Impressive stuff from the favourites so far. Only downside is that we've lost a ball, James Keothavong tells the players at the changeover.

In times like these we all have to muck in together, and that's exactly what the umpire does, hunting around the curtains for the missing ball.

Retrieving footies from under the curtains at Doncaster Dome used to drive me mad as a kid.

Have we found it? Not sure. Anyway, we are back playing and the Swingers are serving to stay in the set...

    *Murray/Skupski 4-2 Norrie/Broady

Jamie Murray and Neal Skupski, in case you aren't aware, are regular doubles partners and reached the US Open semi-finals together last year.

So they're the real deal. Another break point comes there way here, only for Murray's backhand to lump it long.

  13. Postpublished at 13:36 British Summer Time 23 June 2020

Think my Twitter has crashed under the weight of the tennis crew going into meltdown.

Unfortunately they are not talking about this event. Novak Djokovic is trending...

More reaction on that news shortly.

  14. Postpublished at 13:34 British Summer Time 23 June 2020

    Murray/Skupski 4-1 Norrie/Broady*

Oooh! This is fun. Jamie Murray wanted innovation and here is our first glimpse of it. At the changeover, Liam Broady and Cameron Norrie stick on a headset each. Nope, they're not having a quick game of Call of Duty... they are talking to the commentators Sam Smith and Arvind Parmar.

Sam asks them if the set is almost gone... "We're only a break down!" laughs Broady in a quick retort. "We back ourselves against anyone on this court."

Jeremy S: Going to be really interesting to see how well Andy Murray can move around a court. Hope he can do a Federer and come back from being out for so long and knock out a few Grand Slams.

As well as the players, there is only James Keothavong and three camera operatives - perched on the opposite side of the court - in there.

Sorry, Murray's coach Alan MacDonald is hidden in one of the dark corners too.

Right, the tennis. Broady and Norrie find their groove to get their side of the scoreboard moving.

  17. Postpublished at 13:27 British Summer Time 23 June 2020

    Murray/Skupski 3-0 Norrie/Broady*

Let me paint a picture of what the National Tennis Centre looks like here.

It is a bit like a school sports hall. Thick dark curtains draped around the sides, only the squeak of trainers and hitting of balls on the court next door echoing around it. Of course, plenty of chat and grunting from the players too.

Not too much celebration from Murray and Skuspki though as they go 3-0 ahead with a hold to love.

  18. Postpublished at 13:23 British Summer Time 23 June 2020

From a facing break point to earning one. Murray and Skupski do what Broady and Norrie couldn't, converting the point for an early break.

Excellent to see. The four players and umpire James Keothavong took a knee before match in solidarity for the movement for racial equality.

    Murray/Skupski 1-0 Norrie/Broady*

A big first serve out wide from Jamie Murray forces a hefty swinger, pardon the pun, to go long from Broady.

We have the shorter format of a deciding point, where the receivers can choose who returns.

The Swingers decide it will be Broady, who lumps another first serve from Murray over the baseline.
