I wonder if there's some stiffness coming into Rafael Nadal's legs. He's not moving quite as smoothly.

I wonder if there's some stiffness coming into Rafael Nadal's legs. He's not moving quite as smoothly.
*Nadal 6-3 3-6 6-7 (4-7) 2-3 Djokovic
Quick change of socks for Rafael Nadal, time to freshen up the body and mind. He's whipped off some strapping on that foot too.
He needs to hold serve here, but the momentum is with Novak Djokovic at the moment and he grinds an excellent winner down the line. 15-15.

American Gooner: just watching this game is physically and emotionally exhausting. Don’t know how these are doing it. True Champs. Go Rafa, though!

Djokovic looks as fresh as anything.
There was a little bit of a drop-off in intensity from Nadal in his last couple of games.
*Nadal 6-3 3-6 6-7 (4-7) 2-3 Djokovic
Punchy serving from Novak Djokovic, two aces as he accelerates to 40-0 and then holds to love to just give himself a breather.
Nadal 6-3 3-6 6-7 (4-7) 2-2 Djokovic*
And Djokovic gets it at the first time of asking! We're back on serve in the fourth set.
*Nadal 6-3 3-6 6-7 (4-7) 2-1 Djokovic
Novak Djokovic seizes on a return to force Rafael Nadal wide and backs it up with another snappy backhand. Two break points for the Serb.

I don't even know how Djokovic got the previous ball back before that winner.
Every single point they are throwing themselves around this court.
*Nadal 6-3 3-6 6-7 (4-7) 2-1 Djokovic
Brilliant from Nadal once more to open up the court and wind a forehand into the space vacated by Djokovic. He follows it up with a double fault, though. 15-30.

Nick Hughes: This has got to be up there with the 2012 Australian Open final and 2013 French Open semi-final. Incredible how often Nadal and Djokovic share these epic matches
*Nadal 6-3 3-6 6-7 (4-7) 2-1 Djokovic
Anyone remember when Rafael Nadal was leading 5-0 in the opening set?! Just the three hours or so ago...

The games have been wildly differentiating games. Neither player has been motoring through their service games - it's been an absolute dog fight on every point.
*Nadal 6-3 3-6 6-7 (4-7) 2-1 Djokovic
Ferocious forehand winner from Novak Djokovic as he leans back, and then the Serb stings down an ace to hold to love and get on the board in this fourth set.
Nadal 6-3 3-6 6-7 (4-7) 2-0 Djokovic*
Djokovic stares at a patch of clay around his feet, he couldn't quite get his footing there, and Nadal picks the world number one off on the next point with a superb array of forehands to hold serve and back up the break.
*Nadal 6-3 3-6 6-7 (4-7) 1-0 Djokovic
Brilliant, energy-sapping exchange and it's Rafael Nadal who is smiling after a disguised drop shot leaves Novak Djokovic stranded on the baseline, just notching up the volume at Roland Garros a touch more. 30-30.
Pique knows!

*Nadal 6-3 3-6 6-7 (4-7) 1-0 Djokovic
There are cheers, songs and oles ringing out around Chatrier. it's a carnival atmosphere. If this match wasn't enough to get them excited, the fact they don't have to go home yet has sent them all properly giddy. Rafael Nadal, meanwhile, double faults. 0-30.
*Nadal 6-3 3-6 6-7 (4-7) 1-0 Djokovic
How has he got that?! Novak Djokovic thinks he's won the point low to Rafael Nadal's left, but that's the magical forehand side and the Spaniard flings it back with some serious zest to earn the break.
Nadal 6-3 3-6 6-7 (4-7) 0-0 Djokovic*
Rafa's riled up for this one. Djokovic edges to 30-0 but is quickly pegged back by the defending champion and some more fiery hitting from Nadal brings up an early break point. It's not slowing down...
Nadal 6-3 3-6 6-7 (4-7) 0-0 Djokovic*
Everyone suitably recovered and ready for another set?! Novak Djokovic will get the fourth of this epic semi-final under way...
