    *Pavlyuchenkova 1-6 6-2 3-5 Krejcikova

Wonderful. What touch from the Czech, casually dropping a slice beyond the tape.

Pavlyuchenkova hits back with a big serve that Krejcikova can only coax long but the 25-year-old seizes on a slower second serve to take control of the rally and fire down a forehand winner that leaves her opponent rooted to the clay. 15-30.

Huge serve and it's framed high and wide by Pavlyuchenkova. Another chance for Krejcikova to close out the hold, and this time she does with a wrist-rattling serve.

She's one game away from being crowned French Open champion.

    Pavlyuchenkova 1-6 6-2 3-4 Krejcikova*

It's great retrieving from Pavlyuchenkova but Krejcikova keeps her moving across the baseline and eventually delivers one blow too many for the Russian.

But she can't get over the line as the 31st seed digs in off the next. Deuce.

The serve is such a weapon for Pavlyuchenkova - she can't afford to not be brave with it, she needs to create the width, she can't allow Krejcikova to get a strike on it.

You wouldn't have expected that after the stress levels we saw from Krejcikova after she was 1-0 down (in this set). Pavlyuchenkova needs to really force Krejcikova to earn the points. It's nip and tuck at this point of the match.

We are going to start getting some longer, more physical points, things are going to get tougher.
