    What a shot!

Emma Raducanu runs onto a low one from Alison van Uytvanck and curves her forehand around the Belgian to bring up 15-15.

    The crowd loves it, obviously.

  4. Quick hold for Raducanupublished at 17:58 British Summer Time 27 June 2022

    *Van Uytvanck 4-6 3-3 Raducanu

Emma Raducanu is caught quite literally on the hop as she has to balance on one foot to avoid the ball hitting the other. She scoops up the backhand without issue anyway and wins the point to bring up 40-0.

A beautifully-angled backhand is too much for Alison van Uytvanck to cope with and Raducanu backs up her break with a swift hold.

    Tie-break alert!

Carlos Alcaraz steadies himself as he prepares to get things under way.

He drops the first point. Pressure from the off.

  6. It's raining againpublished at 17:56 British Summer Time 27 June 2022

    Van Uytvanck 4-6 3-2 Raducanu*

Two excellent Union Jack umbrella hats come out in the crowd as it appears a light smattering of rain is coming down.

They're not stopping play on Centre, though, and it looks like the sun could already be back out.

There's always the roof if they need it.

  7. Raducanu breaks backpublished at 17:54 British Summer Time 27 June 2022

    Van Uytvanck 4-6 3-2 Raducanu*

It's so easy to forget that Emma Raducanu is 19 years old.

She is so resilient. The Brit bounces back as Van Uytvanck's overhead goes way long to put things back on serve.

    *Van Uytvanck 4-6 3-1 Raducanu

Emma Raducanu is muttering to herself behind the baseline. My lip-reading skills are sub-par so this is very much a guess but she might be saying 'fight'?

She definitely does fight, anyway, getting herself 30-0 up on Alison van Uytvanck's serve as she tries to break back.

  10. 'Best point from Van Uytvanck'published at 17:53 British Summer Time 27 June 2022

    *Van Uytvanck 4-6 3-1 Raducanu

    Marion Bartoli
Former Wimbledon champion on BBC Radio 5 Live

What a point. The best point from Alison Van Uytvanck by far. Emma Raducanu was on her knees, trying to stay in the point.

  11. Kontaveit through, Isner trailingpublished at 17:52 British Summer Time 27 June 2022

Second seed Anett Kontaveit, of Estonia, has progressed smoothly into the second round, beating Bernarda Pera 7-5 6-1.

Meanwhile John Isner could be going the distance again on court 18, 12 years after the 11-hour marathon against Nicolas Mahut.

The big-serving American (as we're contractually obliged to call him) is two sets to one down and 2-1 up on serve in the fourth against Frenchman Enzo Couacaud.

Isner is a potential second-round opponent for Andy Murray, who follows Raducanu on Centre Court.

Where's it gone?! Chuckles all around on Court One as a ball boy struggles to find a loose ball that had rolled underneath the court covering behind him.

With some help from the finger-pointing crowd, he manages to retrieve it, and smiles his way through the attention.

It's light relief from a tense situation on the court, but once again Carlos Alcaraz finds himself one game away from levelling the match.

  14. Van Uytvanck breakspublished at 17:51 British Summer Time 27 June 2022

    *Van Uytvanck 4-6 3-1 Raducanu

The crowd thought that rally had ended at least twice.

They felt a cross-court forehand from Raducanu was surely a winner but Van Uytvanck had other ideas.

The Belgian eventually hits a forehand winner down the line to get the break.

  15. Break point Van Uytvanckpublished at 17:50 British Summer Time 27 June 2022

    Van Uytvanck 4-6 2-1 Raducanu*

    What a volley.

Van Uytvanck cooly taps the ball across the net and out of Raducanu's reach to bring up break point.

    Van Uytvanck 4-6 2-1 Raducanu*

Alison van Uytvanck tries, and fails, to make her drop-shot. That's 15-30.

The Belgian's backhand hits the net next for 30-30.

  17. Postpublished at 17:48 British Summer Time 27 June 2022

    Van Uytvanck 4-6 2-1 Raducanu*

Alison van Uytvanck has Emma Raducanu running all over the place. She brings the teenager to the net, then sends her scurrying back with a lob.

Raducanu hits that one long and the next one too to go 0-30 down. The door is open for the Belgian.

  18. Jabeur breezed into round twopublished at 17:46 British Summer Time 27 June 2022

In case you missed it, earlier on Court One Ons Jabeur stormed past Mirjam Bjorklund 6-1 6-3 in just 53 minutes.

Not bad considering the Tunisian third seed had withdrawn from the Eastbourne International prior to Wimbledon with a knee injury.
