It's been a captivating second day at Roland Garros.

  4. 'I like my chances' - Djokovicpublished at 19:40 British Summer Time 23 May 2022

    Djokovic v Nishioka

Defending men's champion Novak Djokovic fought back from two sets down against Greece's Stefanos Tsitsipas to prevail at Roland Garros last year.

The Serb, who was forced to miss the Australian Open after being deported from the country, is seen as the favourite in Paris following his Italian Open victory earlier this month.

"I like my chances," said 2016 and 2021 champion Djokovic, who turned 35 yesterday.

"The way I've been feeling on and off the court in the last few weeks, I can go far."

Emma Raducanu, talking in her on-court interview, said: "She [Linda Noskova] really came out there firing and as soon as I dropped my ball speed she was all over me.

"It was really challenging in the second set - I'm really proud of how I fought but all props to Linda.

"It was an incredible atmosphere and I am sorry that the match took so long, I know you want to see Benoit [Paire].

"I have no expectations of myself [for the rest of the tournament]. I'm really happy to be competing here after Rome and I'm looking forward to try and stay as long as possible."
