All Serena can do is hold her serve and hope Tomljanovic gets nervous - which can absoluely happen. I've seen it before from Ajla.

I don't think Serena has anything left to give. There's always the chance Tomljanovic will get tight but if this is how Serena goes out, then what a way to go.

Ajla Tomljanovic backs up that break with a hold to 30 and takes a 4-1 lead in the third set.

Serena Williams sits staring at her hands in the change of ends. Penny for her thoughts.

I was three when Serena Williams played her first Grand Slam at the Australian Open in 1998.

I'm now 28 but I feel more like 82 with how much I've aged over the last two hours and 45 minutes.

"Her legs are worse than yours right now," shouts Williams' coach Eric Hechtman.

Not sure about that, but being a coach is as much about motivational speaking as well as tactical advice.

This is a Bear Grylls-survival show now.

Serena's box are telling her that Tomljanovic's legs are worse than hers. I'm not sure I believe that, but I admire the positivity!

It's all happening. Well, let's be honest, it has been for a while.

Ajla Tomljanovic finds herself with break point, but Serena Williams cancels it out for deuce with an ace.

Tomljanovic then sees two more break points come and go and on we go in this fourth game...

Tomljanovic looks very focused. That is a fabulous response.

Compared to recent games, a relatively simple hold for Tomljanovic to 15.

Williams doesn't bother to try and meet Tomljanovic's final backhand winner, pretty much walking to her chair before her opponent has even struck the ball.

I think the days of the love hold are long gone in this match.

Serena Williams holds two game points but errors allow Ajla Tomljanovic to sneak back into it.

At deuce, the Aussie is handed break point as a Williams backhand meets the net.

With a whole set to come, it seems as though the atmosphere has calmed down a bit on Ashe.

It lifts a touch as Serena Williams finds herself with a break point in the opening game, but she can't take the chance.

Tomljanovic gets the first advantage but can't react to Williams at the net, and the American gets another shot at a break when Tomljanovic goes long, turning to shrug at her box.

This time, Williams breaks, Tomljanovic misfiring off the forehand.

What does Serena Williams have left? They were bruising, brutal rallies, and Tomljanovic's level has been phenomenal. What do we get in this deciding set?
