Blimey. Anyone know anything about noise-induced hearing loss?
Deafening in here after Williams finally clinches the set and levels the match.
Should have been handing out ear plugs on the turnstile tonight.
Tomljanovic 7-5 6-7 (4-7) Williams
SHE'S DONE IT!
Ajla Tomljanovic goes long and Serena Williams wins the second set on the tie-break.
That was an epic. Anyone else's heartbeat gone through the roof, or just mine?
*Tomljanovic 7-5 6-6 (4-6) Williams
A simply superb forehand winner from Williams bags her another mini-break and she has set point.
Tomljanovic 7-5 6-6 (4-5) Williams*
Not for long though. Tomljanovic gets the mini-break back, but Williams bags the next point of her serve with an ace down the T - her fastest serve of the night at 117mph, no less.
Tomljanovic 7-5 6-6 (3-4) Williams*
Tomljanovic takes both points on her serve but remains that mini-break behind.

"Make her pay for it!" screams one voice behind as Williams lines up that overhead.
Oh, she did. Almost made a dent in the blue acrylic.
*Tomljanovic 7-5 6-6 (1-4) Williams
Williams slams down a smash then finds the corner with a ferocious forehand.
4-1 to the American in the tie-break.

Serena Williams isn't going down without one heck of a fight.
15-0, 15-15, 15-30, 30-30...but then Ajla Tomljanovic gets game point, composes herself, and then gets that incredibly important hold as Williams goes long.
Tie-break here we come.

Woah! Incredible noise as the crowd launch into an impromptu chant of 'Se-re-na' around Ashe just before Tomljanovic serves to stay in the set.
Came out of nowhere. As did the goosebumps which it brings out on the arms.

I have never heard that sort of noise on Ashe before. Amazing.

That is a very good hold of serve, just to stop all the momentum going to Ajla Tomljanovic.
*Tomljanovic 7-5 5-6 Williams
Serena Williams isn't done yet. A hold to 15 stops Tomljanovic's winning run and the roar on Ashe is deafening. Williams doesn't react as she walks over to her chair.
Meanwhile, her mum Oracene looks ready for a snooze in her box.

Tomljanovic has been absolutely brilliant tonight.

The points go back and forth across the net and there are some very nervous-looking faces in the crowd on Ashe. Spike Lee looks as though he doesn't know what to do with himself.
At 40-30, Serena Williams clips the net and the ball bounces out, handing Ajla Tomljanovic the hold.
From 4-0 down, Tomljanovic is now level at 5-5. This could be the last service game of Serena Williams' career.

Meanwhile, 2019 champion Bianca Andreescu is out.
The Canadian has been beaten in straight sets by Caroline Garcia, who will go on to play China's Zhang Shuai.
