    *Raducanu 1-5 Vondrousova

Raducanu is stepping in a little more, trying to counter-punch her way through, but a long rally goes the way of Vondrousova for a 30-15 lead.

There's a brief hint of a sniff for Raducanu as Vondrousova double faults, but she just misses out on a return of serve, and Vondrousova closes the game out with a forehand winner and a celebratory cry.

Vondrousova is a game away from taking the first set.

On the outside of the large hard-court stadium that is also in this Prague tennis club, the wall of honours is bursting with Czech names (unsurprising given for example they are 11-time winners of the Fed Cup and right now have eight women in the top 100).

Among the names is a certain Marketa Vondrousova, who reached the 2019 French Open final.

That's the game Vondrousova makes you play. The longer you stay on court with her, she makes you overplay and that's what we've seen Raducanu do there.

Vondrousova also exposes your movement on a clay court, dragging you right off the court.

Terrific variety from Vondrousova, who isn't giving Raducanu any time to get into rhythm.

Raducanu is just trying to figure out her opponent and how the ball is coming at her, with Vondrousova being a leftie.

No surprise that Vondrousova is coming out and being solid from the get-go.

She changes direction in a rally, battering a forehand through Raducanu's defences, and an ace takes her to 40-15.

Another wonky Raducanu forehand hurries Vondrousova along to a hold.

I think Emma Raducanu would have taken a lot of confidence and belief from yesterday's match.

As the match went on she started to find a lot more variation. She was figuring out on the clay court which shots were more effective.
