    If Britain are somehow able to turn this match around and qualify for November’s twelve team finals, it will be the furthest the team has progressed in the competition since 1990. The year of the Three Tenors at Italia 90, and the year that Jo Durie and Sarah Loosemore lost tight singles matches as GB were beaten by Austria in the quarter-finals of the World Group.

    Muchova is furious when, at 15-30, she fluffs a volley down at her feet, but she makes up for it with a gorgeous forehand that hands the Czechs a break point.

    Muchova fluffs a volley long before a smart cross from Vondrousova draws the error out of Swan's forehand and hands the Czechs a break back point.
