There are a lot of empty seats where the British fans have been sitting - but don’t worry, they haven’t abandoned the match! One of them told me they were all too cold and have moved to the sunny and warm side of the court. Good thinking!

The Czech Republic are fielding two high quality singles players.

We know how well Vondrousova is playing, although Muchova - a semi-finalist at the Australian Open last year - is playing only her second event since the US Open because of injury.

Swan and Dart can at least boast a 100% record as a team in this competition. They paired up to beat Greece and Slovenia when the Europe/Africa zone pool matches were played in Bath in 2019.
