    Murray 4-6 6-7 (4-7) 7-6 (7-5) 0-0 Kokkinakis

It is incredible that Murray has kept himself in this.

It is 01:52am there but he looks like he has just woken up as he gives the crowd a fist pump on his return to his bench.

My word Kokkinakis' arm was tight. He cannot believe he missed that.

We are well and truly back on the Andy Murray roller-coaster.

    We continue!

Kokkinakis reaches up for a volley and misses. Andy Murray does. not. quit.

Another set anyone? You've got no choice.

    Murray 4-6 6-7 (4-7) 6-6 Kokkinakis

Kokkinakis' forehand is more controlled this time - and more deadly. It hits the corner and we're at 5-5.

Murray pulls ahead again with a big serve and brings up set point at 6-5.

Considering how incredible Kokkinakis' forehand is, it's surprising he is missing some of these.

  6. Tie-breakpublished at 14:48 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January 2023

    Murray 4-6 6-7 (4-7) 6-6 Kokkinakis

After such an impressive serve, Kokkinakis swings wildly and the ball lands nowhere near the court. 5-4 and Murray is two points away from a fourth set.

  7. Tie-breakpublished at 14:47 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January 2023

    Murray 4-6 6-7 (4-7) 6-6 Kokkinakis

Both players take a bit of a breather at the change of ends - understandably. They have been playing for almost three and a half hours and it is approaching 2am.

Kokkinakis slaps the ball into the net to go 4-3 down, before another excellent serve down the middle to make it 4-4.

Kokkinakis could win the match in this tie-break, while Murray would have to win another two sets after this one.

  8. Tie-breakpublished at 14:44 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January 2023

    Murray 4-6 6-7 (4-7) 6-6 Kokkinakis

Murray leans on his racquet wearily as Kokkinakis hits the ball past him for 3-3. After a five-setter in round one, this cannot be pleasant for Murray and his metal hip.

  9. Tie-breakpublished at 14:43 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January 2023

    Murray 4-6 6-7 (4-7) 6-6 Kokkinakis

An ace down the middle from Kokkinakis makes it 2-2.

But Murray calls the serve on the next one, is ready out wide and slaps back a winning return. 3-2 to Murray.

  10. Tie-breakpublished at 14:41 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January 2023

    Murray 4-6 6-7 (4-7) 6-6 Kokkinakis

Murray backs his forehand again, but it's no good this time. The angle is off and it lands wide. 1-1.

He pushes Kokkinakis back again on the last one and the Australian can't get to the corner in time. 2-1 to Murray.

  11. 'Subdued Kokkinakis'published at 14:40 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January 2023

We know what tie-breaks are like, anything can happen.

Thanasi's body language is very subdued, I think he's waiting for Murray to give him the match and that's not going to happen.

  12. Tie-breakpublished at 14:39 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January 2023

    Murray 4-6 6-7 (4-7) 6-6 Kokkinakis

Murray loves the look of a second serve and eventually bats a winner into the corner. 1-0.

It's a slick hold in the end.

    Onto the tie-break.

    *Murray 4-6 6-7 (4-7) 5-6 Kokkinakis

This is an excellent service game from Murray, just what he needs right now.

An ace down the middle brings up 40-0.

  15. Postpublished at 14:37 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January 2023

    *Murray 4-6 6-7 (4-7) 5-6 Kokkinakis

Ok then, Murray serving to stay in this match.

He still looks up for this, as you'd expect, coming forward to the net to push Kokkinakis back then caress a volley into the open court.

    *Murray 4-6 6-7 (4-7) 5-6 Kokkinakis

It is looking less and less likely, though.

Murray is not at all happy with himself as he returns to his bench. A big miss gives Kokkinakis the hold and means Murray can only serve to take it to a tie-break.

    Murray 4-6 6-7 (4-7) 5-5 Kokkinakis*

I asked about 10 minutes ago if Murray could still win this.

Almost 2,800 of you have said yes, around 1,000 no. Given he's two sets down at this point, shows how much drama he's put us all through over the years!

    Murray 4-6 6-7 (4-7) 5-5 Kokkinakis*

Gorgeous from Murray at the net. He swings one way, then the other, and eventually bats away his opponent to get 30-15 up on Kokkinakis' serve.

Murray feeling his ab? Well he will be feeling it everywhere at the moment.

Murray holds his stomach and winces in pain as he whips a forehand into the net.

It doesn't look to have had a lasting impact, though, because he bangs a forehand winner on the next point to wrap up the hold.
