There is some serious momentum for Gauff now. She has raised her game and she has come to the party after a slow and unsteady start , where she was overpowered by Sabalenka in the first set.

After struggling with some nerves in that opening set Gauff has just grown in confidence in this match and she holds her serve with a big serve that pings off Sabalenka's racquet up into the sky/roof.

The amount of balls Sabalenka is having to play extra in the rallies is accumulating because of the movement and defensive skills from Coco Gauff.
Sometimes the footwork isn't quite there.

Sabalenka gets lucky with a net cord then sends a lob up towards the back of the court but Gauff calmly brings it down and nails the forehand.
This just got very interesting.

Gauff does so well to chase down from one side of the court to the other, reaching the forehand then the backhand. But it was really solid from Sabalenka dictating the point from the middle and she saves break point.
Despite losing the point she gives a little fist pump towards her box. She is happy with the way she's playing.
And so she should be as she brings up another break point.
