Well she's done her bit, Sabalenka. Held on to her serve.
Gauff will now serve to level proceedings.

Now then, can Sabalenka make Gauff serve for it?
It's a good start as she gets out to 30-0.

This is what it means to the home fans.
Plenty joyfully jump to their feet when Gauff holds to consolidate the break and returns to her chair.
They do the same when they think Gauff has won that incredible point and remain upright to applaud Sabalenka for that beyond-belief fetch.
Incredible sequence.

Sabalenka is just so insecure at the back of the court. Just so many errors, I am actually astounded.
Gauff 2-6 5-2 Sabalenka*
A great rally to polish off that game for Gauff. Scrambling from side to side before Sabalenka's lob sails out of the back of the court.
The American is a game away from taking us to a decider.
*Gauff 2-6 4-2 Sabalenka
A nervy start to the service game for Gauff who begins with a double fault but gets back on track with a couple of decent serves.
A stunning two hand backhand shot to the back corner of the court for 40-15 has Sabalenka off balance and misfiring into the net.
*Gauff 2-6 4-2 Sabalenka
An important hold for Sabalenka and now it will be up to Gauff to make sure she maintains her advantage.
Gauff 2-6 4-1 Sabalenka*
Howwww?!
Having chased down Gauff's lob to the back of the court Sabalenka nails a stunning lob of her own. It looked like it was going out but it was inch perfect.
She throws down her racquet as if to say 'yeah, I just did that'.

I think Sabalenka saw the prize, thought about being the US Open champion and that on Monday she will be the the world number one. She goes up and down, and she got tight.
That forehand is either golden – or absolute rubbish.
Gauff 2-6 4-1 Sabalenka*
Aaand it's long again.
How many times has Sabalenka wound up that forehand and then sent it well long?
She won't be happy with those mistakes but Gauff will be pleased to have gotten through that service game.
*Gauff 2-6 3-1 Sabalenka
Break point saved then Gauff gets the advantage as a looping shot falls down from the sky to Sabalenka. She watches it all the way but slams her return into the net.
*Gauff 2-6 3-1 Sabalenka
Ooooh Sabalenka gets lucky with a net cord then Gauff sends one long.
A roar from the Belarusian as she brings up the break back opportunity.

"Let's gooooo!"
Gauff hollers and indicates to the home fans that she wants the noise levels increasing.
They happily oblige as their girl finally gains some momentum.

That is a game changer – Coco Gauff has been looking quite forlorn and that things haven't been going her way. That is going to give her belief.

Never ceases to amaze how oblivious some of these American spectators are.
A guy seated low down opposite the umpire, and right in Sabalenka's serving eye-line, decides he can't wait to go for comfort break/hot dog/whatever.
He still doesn't have a clue what's happening when Eva Asderaki-Moore shames him into sitting down... which he eventually does after a slight panic about what to do as he freezes on the stairs.
*Gauff 2-6 3-1 Sabalenka
Well, what a time to double fault. Sabalenka can't believe it but you wouldn't know what just happened from Gauff's reaction. Cool, calm and collected.
That's got the Arthur Ashe crowd on their feet.

Gauff just came up with magic.
Gauff 2-6 2-1 Sabalenka*
Long from Sabalenka! Again!
A precious break point for Gauff.
Gauff 2-6 2-1 Sabalenka*
Ohhh what a shot!
Sabalenka comes into the net and it's some lovely play at the net but Gauff races across court and meets the shot with a stunning cross-court backhand. Sabalenka couldn't get near that.
Deuce.
