You really have to pay attention at the change of ends to see which player is which.
Both with white headbands tied around the back of their head, both with a mop of brown hair.
Of course one is the world number four and one isn't - but from the standard of tennis on show, you couldn't tell them apart on that front either as Liam Broady claims a comfortable hold.
*Zverev 6-4 5-6 Brouwer

Alexander Zverev is the reigning Olympic champion having won gold in Japan two years ago, but Grand Slam glory has eluded him - just about.
He was serving for the title in the 2020 US Open final, but had his serve broken on his way to a loss to Austria's Dominic Thiem and he has also reached an Australian Open semi-final as well as the final four in each of the past three French Opens.
But on the Wimbledon grass he has never made it beyond the fourth round, falling at that hurdle in both 2017 and 2021. If the seedings are correct, he will run into world number one Carlos Alcaraz in that stage in 2023.
That's a long way off though and he has to get rid of Gijs Brouwer first, with the Dutchman proving to be a lot more resilient than his world ranking of 153 would have suggested. Brouwer will get at least a tie-break out of this second set on Court One.

Even in the heat of the battle, there is time for a laugh.
And there are plenty giggling at that challenge from Broady.
Not very often a pro misjudges a ball that badly.
Broady shrugs and, like anyone trying to save further embarrassment should, is probably blaming the tech.

We don't mean to just focus on Casper and his difficulties, but he's a Grand Slam finalist and a total star.

The laughs which greet Broady teeing up a set point with the ace which dusted the sideline are knowing.
The Centre Court fans realise he got a little fortunate in the game which sealed the set.
But they don't care!
Broady skips back to his chair as the fans excitedly chatter away.
Lots of belief among the Brits - on the court and in the stands - here.
*Broady 6-4 0-1 Ruud
Liam Broady goes long with a forehand on a rally and it's a welcome hold at the start of set two for fourth seed Casper Ruud.
Broady 6-4 0-0 Ruud*
Liam Broady with honestly the worst challenge you will ever see.
Casper Ruud smiles, the umpire smiles, the Centre Crowd bursts out laughing as one.
The serve was in by about two feet. He should have two challenges taken off him for that.

It has been an outstanding set of tennis from Broady. My word what a turnaround. Plenty of the crowd are on their feet now - and I can't wait for the second set.

Liam Broady, you have a chance to win this. He must know now that his opponent is as vulnerable as many people thought he would be.
Broady 6-4 0-0 Ruud*
The set of his life. Briton Liam Broady has stunned fourth seed Casper Ruud, coming from a break down to take the first set.
Ruud looks very vulnerable. Broady believes.
*Broady 5-4 Ruud
Ace from Broady on his second serve. How timely! 40-30.
*Broady 5-4 Ruud
Long from Broady. 30-30.

Think Casper Ruud wishes he never made his infamous joke about grass only being for good for golf.
At this rate, the low handicapper might also wish he was spending the afternoon over at Royal Wimbledon Golf Club.
So far it's been hard work for the Norwegian fourth seed.
Broady putting in the hard yards at Surbiton, Nottingham, Queen's and Eastbourne before coming to Wimbledon is proving key.
*Broady 5-4 Ruud
Overhead smash from Broady. 30-15.

Ruud is certainly in defensive mode and trying to get the ball back into play. Broady is the one who has been aggressive.
*Broady 5-4 Ruud
Shot of the day from Casper Ruud who finds the corner with a running forehand. 0-15.
Next point and Liam Broady gets all the luck, getting a very fortunate bounce off the net. 15-15.

Probably the biggest game of Broady's career coming up.
*Broady 5-4 Ruud
When Casper Ruud stay in the rallies, he usually comes out on top. He forces Liam Broady into two more errors to hold.
The Brit will now serve for the set.
