A look of concern creeps into Tsitsipas' eyes after a long forehand but he just unleashes another monster serve and all is well with his world again.

Well, until a forehand tickles the net and deflects wide. It's 30-30. Big moment.

I am not sure what the crowd will be like at the end of the match because right now every point is treated like it is a championship winner.

Do they hand out ear-plugs with Centre Court tickets? They should do.

The decibel levels go up to what could be considered an industrial hazard when Murray drills in that backhand winner.

"Louder," instructs Murray, whirring his arms in the air.

Even a lady scoffing a coronation chicken sandwich pauses for a moment and obliges.

  4. Murray holds to lovepublished at 21:36 British Summer Time 6 July 2023

    Murray 6-7 (3-7) 6-5 Tsitsipas*

Two sensational shots from Andy Murray as a forehand finds the line and then, from Tsitsipas' return, he gets a ridiculously pick-up-drop-half-volley over at a crazily acute angle to win the point.

He then enjoys a slice of luck as the Greek decides not to challenge a long forehand that actually caught the line.

It's a hold to love and Murray will have one more chance to break serve before the inevitable tie-break.

Talk about good serving. It's been continuous from Tsitsipas.

  6. Tsitsipas holdspublished at 21:33 British Summer Time 6 July 2023

    Murray 6-7 (3-7) 5-5 Tsitsipas*

Big backhand winner from Murray, who screams at the crowd. And they respond in kind.

But another big serve from Tsitsipas brings up 40-30. And yet another finds the chalk to clinch the game.

So tough for Andy Murray here, as Tsitsipas' first serve is on fire.

    Murray 6-7 (3-7) 5-4 Tsitsipas*

Massive first serves like that won't help the Murray cause. It's all he can do just to get it back.

But then a small window of opportunity arises next point and Murray whips a wonderful forehand winner down the line to wrong-foot Tsitsipas.

  9. Murray holds, Tsitsipas serves to stay in setpublished at 21:29 British Summer Time 6 July 2023

    Murray 6-7 (3-7) 5-4 Tsitsipas*

Credit to Andy Murray here. He is facing down everything Stefanos Tsitsipas has to offer and sticking with the fifth seed.

Can he find that elusive break of serve to level the match? He is yet to even earn a break point tonight.

    Murray 6-7 (3-7) 4-3 Tsitsipas*

Lovely change of pace from Stefanos Tsitsipas with a drop shot as Andy Murray is, naturally, expecting another piledriver of a forehand.

But the Scot responds well with a good serve-volley point and, then, a Tsitsipas forehand is, for once, off target. 40-15.

  11. 'Like a stroppy toddler'published at 21:26 British Summer Time 6 July 2023

Murray is furious with himself for allowing Tsitsipas to put away a short ball with that forehand at 15-15.

After peppering the backhand and getting no change, the Scot switches direction.

But flames are coming off the ball when the Greek unleashes off that wing.

Murray rips off his cap as he stomps his feet like a stroppy toddler. Hope for his sake the kids aren't watching...

I think Murray is trying to take those shots early but it is difficult with the power.

if the ball sits up for Stefanos Tsitsipas' forehand, it's goodnight Irene.

Oh and he's nailed an eighth ace of the match too. Powerful hold.

There might be a few question marks about Tsitsipas's backhand but look at this forehand.

The rest of the Wimbledon courts are now closed for the night - Centre Court is the only show in town.

And what a show it is too. Andy Murray wins the opening point on the Tsitsipas serve but then two big forehand winners - yep, more of those - put the world number five back on top at 30-15.

  16. Still on serve in second setpublished at 21:19 British Summer Time 6 July 2023

No problems on the Murray serve.

Stefanos Tsitsipas couldn't lay a glove on it there.

  17. But Tsitsipas still holds - againpublished at 21:16 British Summer Time 6 July 2023

    *Murray 6-7 (3-7) 3-3 Tsitsipas

Andy Murray repeatedly hammers the ground with his racquet as Tsitsipas reads his passing shot at the net to volley a winner and then seals the hold soon after.

That was as close as Murray has come to breaking the Greek's serve all match.

    Well, well, well.

    What a reprieve for Murray.

Not entirely sure he thought Tsitsipas's 'ace' for the game was out, felt like it was a stalling tactic to grab a breath before the next serving game.

Murray had already asked for the balls.

But he got a second wind...

Now then. Tsitsipas fizzes a forehand at Murray at the net - he gets his racquet up in self-preservation and somehow volleys a winner.

The Scot then wins a marathon rally, outlasting the fifth seed as he hits the net with a forehand. From 40-0 down it's deuce.

John McEnroe informs us that Tsitsipas is up at 76% first serves in - which is a pretty impressive figure.

It means Andy Murray is not getting many looks at returns - which are a strength of his game.

He wins a challenge against an ace at 40-0 to claim a rare point on the Greek's serve.
