Tsitsipas tumbles on the same bit of turf as before, flashing another filthy look at the grass.

That patch - on the ad side of the court behind the baseline opposite the Royal Box - is turning into a bit of a menace.

Not only did it wipe out Alize Cornet earlier today, pretty sure it also claimed Serena Williams and Murray as victims in 2021, too.

    If you are there, beware.

    Murray 6-7 (3-7) 3-2 Tsitsipas*

Stefanos Tsitsipas slips in exactly the same place as he fell in the first set - but once again he's immediately back to his feet.

And with a spring in his step after the next point as Andy Murray sends a smash into the net and unleashes his annoyance with himself.

He redeems himself next point with a sublime high backhand volley for 40-15 and then an ace seals the hold.

  4. No finish today - bad light suspends playpublished at 21:07 British Summer Time 6 July 2023

    Medvedev 6-3 6-3 4-4 Mannarino*

Daniil Medvedev and Adrian Mannarino will not be able to finish this match today.

Medvedev was two games away from the win, then got broken and that proves to be the last action of the day on court two.

They will have to come back tomorrow to finish the job off. It may only last two games. When they resume on Friday, it'll be at 4-4 in the third and with Medvedev two sets up.

The net is taken down, the spectators file out of the court and, in a massive anti-climax, that's it for the day on this court.

  5. Easy hold for Tsitsipaspublished at 21:06 British Summer Time 6 July 2023

    *Murray 6-7 (3-7) 2-2 Tsitsipas

Andy Murray hangs his head as a Stefanos Tsitsipas ace flies by.

It's followed by a heat-seeking baseline forehand rocket next point. Easy hold to 15 for the fifth seed who is flying on serve so far.

  6. Mannarino breaks Medvedev's serve to save himselfpublished at 21:04 British Summer Time 6 July 2023

    Medvedev 6-3 6-3 4-4 Mannarino*

    Michael Emons
    BBC Sport at Wimbledon

Just when it looked all over for Adrian Mannarino, he finds a break of serve to 15 from nowhere to get it back to 4-4 in the third set.

And now Daniil Medvedev has asked for the physio to come to the court. The Russian was two games away from the third round, but is there going to be a dramatic plot twist?

Little under two hours until kicking out time...

Remember, there is an 11pm curfew at the All England Club.

Think we're all agreed that this won't be finished by then - right?

  8. Important hold for Murraypublished at 21:02 British Summer Time 6 July 2023

    Murray 6-7 (3-7) 2-1 Tsitsipas*

Nice work from Andy Murray to extinguish the danger from deuce, capped by a tidy angled volley at the net that Tsitsipas can't reach before its second bounce.

  9. Postpublished at 21:00 British Summer Time 6 July 2023

    *Murray 6-7 (3-7) 1-1 Tsitsipas

Yep, Tsitsipas has got that forehand motoring now. It's yielding so many winners and takes this Murray service game to deuce.

  10. Time running out for Mannarinopublished at 20:59 British Summer Time 6 July 2023

    *Medvedev 6-3 6-3 4-3 Mannarino

    Michael Emons
    BBC Sport at Wimbledon

Two overhead smashes from Mannarino, both at close range, both find the net in the same game. The second one leaves the Frenchman hunched over his racquet, trying to figure out what just happened.

He does then convert a similar shot for a hold. That would've been curtains for him if he'd lost that game.

He still has a massive mountain to climb though and needs to break Medvedev's serve in one of the Russian's next two service games to have any chance in this match.

  11. Postpublished at 20:59 British Summer Time 6 July 2023

    *Murray 6-7 (3-7) 1-1 Tsitsipas

I have no idea how Murray got his racquet onto a rocket of a Tsitsipas return.

But he did. And his opponent is so stunned that he dumps his response into the net. 40-30.

  12. Postpublished at 20:57 British Summer Time 6 July 2023

    *Murray 6-7 (3-7) 1-1 Tsitsipas

Andy Murray has been getting more and more agitated since losing that first-set tie-break and a backhand into the net elicits another tirade.

The Brit is then lucky to get away with wasting three chances to put a smash away as Tsitsipas keeps lobbing them up for him.

But then, absolute perfection from out of nowhere as a passing backhand beats the fifth seed all ends up. 30-15 to Murray.

As another winner flashes past him, Murray bears his teeth and furiously points again at his box.

The sort of reaction one might make to some drunk who has just spilled a pint on you.

Full of annoyance but not quite confrontational.

Clearly something in Murray's tactical plan is not coming off.

  14. 'Tsitsipas' forehand deciding the match'published at 20:56 British Summer Time 6 July 2023

    *Murray 6-7 (3-7) 1-1 Tsitsipas

Tsitsipas' forehand is the shot that is deciding this match.

  15. Tsitsipas holdspublished at 20:54 British Summer Time 6 July 2023

    *Murray 6-7 (3-7) 1-1 Tsitsipas

Delicious angled volley at the net from Tsitsipas - and the next point sees forehand after forehand after forehand eventually pummel Murray into submission.

Good hold from the Greek after being 15-30 adrift.

  16. Medvedev gets the break in the thirdpublished at 20:53 British Summer Time 6 July 2023

    Medvedev 6-3 6-3 4-2 Mannarino*

    Michael Emons
    BBC Sport at Wimbledon

Daniil Medvedev can see the finish line now after getting a break of serve in the fifth game of the third set, and then consolidates the break a few minutes later.

Hold his serve from here on in and he's in round three.

  17. Postpublished at 20:52 British Summer Time 6 July 2023

    Murray 6-7 (3-7) 1-0 Tsitsipas*

Stefanos Tsitsipas loses a challenge on the opening point of his first service game of the second set as a lob goes just long.

A dominant point follows but then he hits a Murray return into the net. 15-30, interesting...

  18. Murray holds to start second setpublished at 20:50 British Summer Time 6 July 2023

    Murray 6-7 (3-7) 1-0 Tsitsipas*

Good solid hold from Andy Murray to kick off set two.

He's still shaking his head and muttering a bit, mind. But it didn't affect his tennis.

  19. Work to do for Murray/Venus in Doublespublished at 20:49 British Summer Time 6 July 2023

Elsewhere, in the men's doubles, Andy's brother Jamie Murray and Michael Venus have lost the second set against David Hernández and Albano Olivetti and that match is currently 6-4 3-6.

British pair Julian Cash and Luke Johnson have also been pegged back after winning the first set of their match against Argentina duo Andres Molteni and Máximo González. Cash and Johnson won the first set 7-5 before their opponents won 6-4.

Britain's Johannus Monday and Jacob Fearnley have fought back a set down against Andre Goransson and Ben McLachlan and it is 1-6 7-6 (7-2) in that clash.

Murray gives a prolonged wag of his finger as he makes his way back to the chair.

Presume that's directed at his team.

Does he have a corner man?

The veteran fighter could do with a splash of cold water and intake of smelling salts after that bruising opening round.
