"Come on. Come on!" shouts Murray after sticking his nose back out in front.

The Scot shakes his racquet at the crowd as he looks to gets them amped up.

Murray under the lights has become pretty special in recent years, with the frenzied home fans playing a integral part in the wins over Nikoloz Basilashvili, Oscar Otte and James Duckworth.

Stefanos Tsitsipas, of course, is a different calibre to those opponents.

What an ace out wide from Muzza. Goodness me that kicked away from Tsitsipas.

Adrian Mannarino has not had too much to smile about in this set, but he manages to keep the second set going, breaking the Medvedev serve with a lovely lob that gave the Russian no chance.

The Brits had plenty of optimism coming into this match.

Murray knows his way around the grass courts, Tsitsipas hasn't been playing well, Murray has had an extra day to recover...

They were a few of the reasons given why the British former world number one could win this match.

The reality was the outcome was probably about 50-50. Nothing we've seen so far has changed my mind.

This is so delicately poised. Centre Court knows it. Anticipation and tension hangs on every shot.

    *Murray 4-5 Tsitsipas

Andy Murray pumps his racquet in the air after an exquisite backhand volley at full stretch at the net.

However, he dumps a forehand into that same net next shot and it's another relatively comfortable hold.

Neither player has been taken to deuce on their serve yet.

    Murray 4-4 Tsitsipas*

    Tim Henman

Murray is definitely moving so much better. Not quite as good as in his prime, but getting those matches in on the grass court gives him the best chance in a number of years at Wimbledon.

  17. Medvedev closing in on two-set advantagepublished at 20:18 British Summer Time 6 July 2023

    *Medvedev 6-3 5-1 Mannarino

    Michael Emons
    BBC Sport at Wimbledon

Daniil Medvedev is in a massive rush to get this done tonight before the light on court two gets too bad. Maybe he wants to get to watch the Murray v Tsitsipas match?

The unforced errors are creeping into the Mannarino game, especially on his forehand, with Medvedev, mixing it up with some serve-volleying, on the verge of sprinting through the second set.

Mannarino ends a run of losing eight successive games but Medvedev is now serving for a two sets to love lead.

  18. Murray holds to lovepublished at 20:18 British Summer Time 6 July 2023

    Murray 4-4 Tsitsipas*

Good catch in the crowd as a Murray serve out wide flies off the frame of the Tsitsipas racquet.

An ace later in the game leaves the Greek flat-footed. You wouldn't believe this fella is 36 with a new hip. He holds to love.

  19. 'Murray having to cover a lot of court'published at 20:15 British Summer Time 6 July 2023

    *Murray 3-4 Tsitsipas
