Still on serve on Court One - but both players' service games have been tested.

Earlier, Daniel Elahi Galan saved three break points - and Jannik Sinner has just done the same.

Galan may see that as opportunity missed but it's still been an impressive start from the world number 85.

Signs of life on Centre Court!

At 0-30, Andrey Rublev and Alexander Bublik play out an entertaining rally which involves a net cord and brings both players into the net.

Bublik plays a delightful forehand slice as he moves forward and Rublev's reply goes just wide, giving Bublik three break points. The crowd are the loudest they've been this match.

Very quick hold to love from Alexander Bublik. An ace on game point at 40-0 nudges the Kazakh ahead again in third set.

It feels like the 23rd seed is more in this match than at any point so far.

There's a notable British victory in the boys singles competition to bring you.

Henry Searle, from Wolverhampton, has knocked out the top seed Juan Carlos Prado Angelo in straight sets.

The 17-year-old, whose rank of 1583 is far below that of the 808th-ranked Bolivian, reached the quarter-finals at the French Open earlier this year.

He went out in the first round at Wimbledon last year but will be looking for a deep run following that display!

  18. 'Cahill understands the player, not all forehands and backhands'published at 15:06 British Summer Time 9 July 2023

    *Sinner 1-2 Galan

    Todd Woodbridge
Former Wimbledon doubles champion on BBC TV

I have watched Darren Cahill's coaching career flourish. Sinner already had a coach and he doesn't bring an ego to the coaching set up. It's not all about forehands and backhands. That's how he gets the results, by understanding the player.

  19. Galan saves three break points to holdpublished at 15:06 British Summer Time 9 July 2023

    *Sinner 1-2 Galan

    Well done, Daniel Elahi Galan.

The unseeded underdog saves three break points against eighth seed Jannik Sinner.

It's been a really entertaining start on Court One, with Galan racing in to not only reach a drop shot, but execute a fantastic lob into the corner to save one of those break points.

That match is on BBC Two or on iPlayer if you want to check it out - remember you can watch the matches on all courts here.

At 5-2 down in the second set and a set down, Alexander Bublik thought 'why not' and sent in another underarm serve - the second time he had done so this match.

Just as the first time where he clinched the fourth game with it, he did it again to seal game number eight. This time Rublev didn't react as quickly and got there on the ball's second bounce.

Strangely enough, it was game six, the one in the middle, where Bublik was serving normally, and that was the one where he lost his service game, ultimately proving decisive.

The underarm serving gave everyone, apart from Rublev, a chuckle, but Rublev had the last laugh in the set as he took it 6-3 to move one set away from a potential clash with Novak Djokovic (or Hubert Hurkacz) in the quarter-finals.

By the way, the clouds overhead are now looking pretty miserable. The roof is still open but there are some very nervous glances skywards from those in the Centre Court stands.
