    Sinner 7-6 (7-4) 1-2 Galan*

It's a great start from Daniel Elahi Galan after losing a tight set, responding immediately with a free-hitting break of serve.

Sinner's feet slide away in the next game as if he was back on his skis on the dusty areas of the court but the Italian is making some sloppy errors as he struggles through the longest game so far in the match.

The Italian continues to get worked up by another line call that he feels has gone against him. Coach Darren Cahill tries to get him to refocus. He responds by smacking down a serve to love.
