Centre Court groans in unison as Carlos Alcaraz puts a drop shot into the net.

I know he's good but that was a huge shot to take on.

    Advantage Djokovic...

Djokovic's legs look uncharacteristically slow here.

This is a chance for Alcaraz.

    Another massive moment.

Djokovic dusts the baseline and wins the challenge. Alcaraz goes long when the point is replayed.

The Spaniard still isn't happy despite what the tech tells us.

    Could that be pivotal?

Is that in or out? No-one seems to know what the call was!

Djokovic challenges and it is, indeed, in.

    Replay the point...

Better from the Spaniard. Djokovic, perhaps unsettled by a gust of wind, finds the net.

    30-30. Big moment...

The space was there for his backhand.

Your heart always skips a beat when you see a player tumble.

There is a worried groan when Djokovic slips and one member of his support crew leaps to his feet in concern.

Djokovic takes a moment to catch his breath, restore his pride and clambers back to his feet.

Thankfully he is fine and on we go...

Alcaraz is under a little bit of stress here. The high level that he had a few points ago has just dipped here, and Djokovic is sensing his chance.

    Alcaraz 1-6 5-4 Djokovic*

Novak Djokovic is down after slipping on the lush green grass below the Royal Box!

That could have been nasty but I think he's OK. His racket went flying as he tumbled, mind.

The point helps Alcaraz to one of his easier holds.

This is the first service game in this set where Djokovic hasn't trailed 0-30.

By those standards, it makes this one a comfortable hold.

    Todd Woodbridge
Former Wimbledon doubles champion on BBC TV

Djokovic is very good at trying to halt momentum. When he is 30-0 or 40-0 down he takes a lot longer on his serve. If the clock is not being officiated to the degree we would expect then it is an advantage to Novak.

This is a high-quality match now, with ball being thrashed from one side to the other. Alcaraz has settled after the poor first set.

    30-15 on the Djokovic serve.

Blimey! A few winced when Djokovic went all Boris Becker with that full-length dive. He almost ploughed into Alcaraz's chair.

Lots stood up to applaud that superb point, including Brad Pitt.

He probably would have got a stunt double to do what Djokovic did.

    Alcaraz 1-6 4-3 Djokovic*

Djokovic may be a set to the good but he's not happy about something. He was gesturing to his box between points throughout that game. His coach responds with some hand signals.

    That's allowed now, don't forget.

After a quick breather, both men are ready to dance again...

In the first set Alcaraz looked like a deer caught in headlights. But now he is finding his feet and bringing that belief to his player box.

It's not just the Alcaraz fans on their feet now! It's those in the posh seats too.

Both men sprint and slide around Centre Court before Djokovic goes for a full-length dive, almost colliding with Alcaraz's chair.

The Spaniard takes the applause as the crowd erupts. Finally, a quick game for Alcaraz.

The Alcaraz momentum deflates like a slowly bursting balloon as the Spaniard puts a forehand long when returning a second serve.

Greg Rusedski is in the same box as us here and he's bemoaning that miss. "You cannot miss those," he says.

He's right because once you let Djokovic off the hook you can be sure he'll quickly relocate his best form, as he does here.

Novak Djokovic's support box have been up and down like some sort of smartly dressed gym class today but now it's Alcaraz's on their feet below me.

One man is pointing at the Spaniard and waving a fist as a backhand winner is sweetly timed down the line.

    0-30.
