Alcaraz 1-6 3-2 Djokovic*
It takes a 124mph second serve from Carlos Alcaraz just to shake Djokovic off his tail. Finally he can take a breather from the sun and the Serb's pressure under the protection of an umbrella in his seat.

Carlos Alcaraz just cannot get an easy game. It must be so, so suffocating.
He's shouting at himself as Djokovic takes us to deuce.

A big game, you have to hand it to Novak Djokovic. Winning a 29-shot rally at a break point.
Maybe that’s why he has won 23 Grand Slam titles.

Novak Djokovic has turned into Captain Hook. Full pantomime villain mode now.
The seven-time champ cups his ear and goads the Wimbledon crowd, leading to a increase of cheers and also a few boos.
"Get on with it!" shouts one wag.
Succinctly summing up the thoughts of many who are getting fed up with the amount of time Djokovic is taking to serve.
Here's how Novak Djokovic wrapped up that dominant first set, dropping just the single game and serving it out with a love hold.

A big serve. A clench of the fist. Novak Djokovic is remarkable.

They've done it! Centre Court has made Djokovic angry...
He saves a lung-busting break point and cups his ear to the crowd before waving his arm sarcastically.
Deuce.

Its amazing to see how fired up Djokovic is with the animosity of the crowd. He was offended at the start of the second set when they were cheering on Alcaraz.
He channels that aggression. It increases his attention, his concentration.

I wonder what two-time winner Andy Murray is making of this as he watches on from the stands beside newly crowned men's doubles champion Neal Skupski?
Reminiscing about the time he beat Novak Djokovic to win the 2013 trophy, perhaps.
Incidentally, that was the last time Djokovic tasted defeat on this court.
We're at 0-30 on the Serb's serve. Another opening for Alcaraz?

May I have your attention please? Will the real Carlos Alcaraz please stand up? He's having a problem here.
Just as it looked like he was warming up a little bit, he goes cold again.
Djokovic reacts to the break by eyeballing somebody in the crowd and roaring in their direction.

Djokovic is sensing that the match might turn and he wants to keep the pressure on.
There was some tension at the start of the set. That will be some relief.

That's a sickener for Carlos Alcaraz. Just as he was starting to gain some momentum, starting to get the crowd behind him, Djokovic sends a reminder of what makes him so great.
He breaks and we're back on serve.

On we go with Carlos Alcaraz pumping the air after showing the gentle touch of a glassmaker at the net. It's superb but that's how good it has to be to beat Djokovic.

Djokovic is just suddenly a little bit discombobulated with something that's happened with the wind.
It is almost like he is waiting to serve for the wind to die down. That is really going to push the serve clock.

This time Carlos Alcaraz gets it!
"Car-los! Car-los!" chants that fan in front of me that I mentioned earlier.
Careful, you don't want to make Novak angry...

Some of these returns from Djokovic are simply mind-blowing.
The way he can quickly turn defence into attack is startling.
But Djokovic feels he isn't getting enough credit.
He is starting to get irritated by the crowd cheering on Alcaraz, clapping his racquet when the fans react positively - and loudly - to the Spaniard bringing up the break point.
