    Chanda Rubin
American former world number six on BBC Radio 5 Live

It just feels right now like that it’s a bit of target practice for Alexander Zverev. The last couple of forehands he’s hit have been huge and he’s had all sorts of times to produce these shots.

A very encouraging service game for Arthur Rinderknech as he holds to love.

That's just a reminder to Taylor Fritz that he may be on top but there is still a long way to go in this match.

If Rinderknech can find his first set form, he'll bring the crowd with him and then who knows where this match might end up?

    *Rinderknech 6-2 4-6 0-3 Fritz

We've already had one epic on Court Suzanne Lenglen today and the way Arthur Rinderknech started, it looked like we might be on for another.

However, he is really having to battle now and Taylor Fritz is turning the screw.

Down 15-40, Rinderknech pulls out two big serves to get to deuce but then hands the advantage to his American opponent with a double fault.

Fritz gobbles up the chance at the third time of asking before holding with ease. Rinderknech needs to try and find the energy that he showed in the first set.

  20. 'They don't care enough'published at 20:50 British Summer Time 1 June 2023

    David Law
Commentator on BBC Radio 5 Live

On the lack of women playing in the night session matches:

If this tournament cares about treating women and women’s tennis equally with men’s tennis, it will find a way and stop making excuses.

If you’re just going to play best of three in the evening, play two women’s matches back to back or play a women’s match and a doubles match. There are ways around this if you care enough. They don’t care enough.
