A third successive defeat for Cardiff in all competitions after a dismal second-half display.

Full-back Fabio has to be dragged away from the Reading players after a fracas at the final whistle, but there wasn't much fire in the belly from Cardiff today.

Manager Russell Slade might say they can now concentrate on the league but, with the Premier League's top two Chelsea and Manchester City knocked out today, this could be the year of the underdog in the FA Cup.

With Swansea losing 3-1 at Blackburn earlier this afternoon, that's the end of the Welsh clubs' involvement in the FA Cup this season.

  2. Dragons 30-19 Stade Francaispublished at 16:56 Greenwich Mean Time 24 January 2015

    BBC Radio Wales' Phil Steele:

"It's the first time Stade Francais have lost to the same team twice in a European pool in their history."

  3. TRY (Richard Fussell)published at 16:56 Greenwich Mean Time 24 January 2015

A sharp finish from full-back Richard Fussell, who stretches over to give Ospreys the lead with 10 minutes left.

    Sam Davies misses his conversion.

  4. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:55 Greenwich Mean Time 24 January 2015

A second successive defeat for Newport, who have conceded seven goals in those two losses.

They're still in the League Two play-off places, but manager Justin Edinburgh will be looking for an improvement after two disappointing displays.

  5. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:53 Greenwich Mean Time 24 January 2015

It's all over at the Racecourse, and Wrexham face another replay in the FA Trophy.

Their third-round replay against Gateshead will be played on Wednesday.

No more than they deserve, really.

They've been the better team throughout the 90 minutes. All of a sudden there's a ball whipped in at the near post and Hal Robson-Kanu times it perfectly.

He gets the ball on the half-volley and whacks it in the same direction, high into the roof of the net.

  7. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:51 Greenwich Mean Time 24 January 2015

Geraint Rhys Jones lands a 79th minute penalty as the Dragons get claim four points and a home draw in the quarter finals.

  8. GOAL (Hal Robson-Kanu)published at 16:50 Greenwich Mean Time 24 January 2015

Wales forward Hal Robson-Kanu comes off the bench to head Reading in front with what looks like a late winner.

No replay, then, but not as Cardiff manager Russell Slade would have liked.

The last time Robson-Kanu scored at Cardiff City Stadium, he put Wales 2-0 up against Cyprus. It's safe to say this goal has been less popular among the home fans.

You get the feeling this game is rather petering out into a tame draw - not that either side particularly want a replay.

There's drama elsewhere in the FA Cup, though. Championship side Middlesbrough are 1-0 up at Premier League champions Manchester City, while current top-flight leaders Chelsea are losing 3-2 at home to League One team Bradford. Blimey.

The Dragons are just appearing to be a bit nervy, they are a bit all over the place along this near side

They only need a bonus point today to guarantee the home draw in the quarter-finals, but they would love a win.

With the position Dragons were in at half time (22-7), they won't want to lose it from here.

  11. GOAL (Lawson D'Ath)published at 16:42 Greenwich Mean Time 24 January 2015

Northampton's Lawson D'Ath appears to put the final nail in Newport's coffin as he fires into the bottom corner.

  12. Missed chancepublished at 16:41 Greenwich Mean Time 24 January 2015

Craig Noone leads a counter-attack for Cardiff, but the winger miscues his low, left-footed shot and it dribbles harmlessly wide.

Today's attendance at Cardiff City Stadium, by the way, is 11,750.

  13. TRY!published at 16:40 Greenwich Mean Time 24 January 2015

A fourth try from a driving line out. Remi Bonfils goes over for the French side. Game on?

Elsewhere in the Ospreys' pool, there's a surprising result on the cards as Northampton are losing at home to Racing Metro.

On the bright side for Saints - and Wales - George North has just scored a try to give the hosts hope at Franklin's Gardens.

The second half has been a lot better for me.

Wrexham have been getting the better over the Gateshead players, and they've come close.

You have to think neither side wants a replay here, the schedule is so hectic that they will want to get it done today.

Hopefully Wrexham can get the goal.

Dragons centre Tyler Morgan, who is in Wales' squad for the 2015 Six Nations, was taken off after injuring his leg for the Dragons against Stade Francais at Rodney Parade.

Wales play England in Cardiff on Friday, 6 February.

  17. Latest scorespublished at 16:33 Greenwich Mean Time 24 January 2015

Ospreys have been pounding Treviso's try line for the last few minutes, but the Italians are standing firm.

In the end, the visitors have to settle for three points as Sam Davies' penalty reduces their deficit to one point.

It mirrors the first half, where Reading had all the possession. You do wonder where the Cardiff City players are, not getting on the ball at all.

The referee's given a yellow card there to Craig Noone, but it could have been the type of challenge to warrant a red card - it's that dangerous.

    Noone's got away with it.

  19. YELLOW CARD (Craig Noone)published at 16:29 Greenwich Mean Time 24 January 2015

It's a bad couple of minutes for Cardiff. Moments after Oliver Norwood draws Reading level, Bluebirds winger Craig Noone is booked for a reckless challenge on Jordan Obita.

  20. GOAL (Oliver Norwood)published at 16:26 Greenwich Mean Time 24 January 2015

Oliver Norwood wrong-foots Cardiff goalkeeper Simon Moore with a low, curling free-kick which nestles in the bottom corner.

If Cardiff City Stadium was subdued before that goal, it is almost silent now. The only noise is from Reading's jubilant travelling fans.
