"So we've got 20 skiers through to the first bumps final with defending champion Alex Bilodeau of Canada leading the standings and going last.

"Twelve go through from that one and then the top six will compete in the final final. Clear? But Aussie Dale Begg-Smith, champion in Turin and second in Vancouver is out after crashing in second qualification."

"GB and Sweden are tied at 2-2 after four ends and it has been a pretty even game so far so it's a fair reflection. But the British men will be reasonably content with the way it has gone."

"Ben Cavet sticks down an impressive second run to qualify for the men's moguls final.

"The French Briton went huge off the first jump and strung together some neat, fast turns in the middle of the course. He admits he lost his rhythm in the lower section and changed his line before the second air, which cost him points.

"That felt good until two control gates from the bottom jump when I got a bit tense," he said. "I didn't absorb the bumps that well and I got out of control.

"The problem on the first run was the snow was sticky and I didn't have enough speed so I took more speed this time. I was quite tense at the top."

  15. Biathlonpublished at 15:38 Greenwich Mean Time 10 February 2014

A bunch of tired-looking athletes, gasping for breath, are now crossing the finishing line. There'll be plenty of lactic in those legs. Czech Republic's Ondrej Moravec takes silver while France's Jean Guillaume Beatrix will join his compatriot on the podium to collect the bronze.

  16. Gold Medalpublished at 15:34 Greenwich Mean Time 10 February 2014

Such is his handsome lead, Martin Fourcade takes a moment to raise his arms in the air as he approaches the final 100m. He glides over the finishing line and triumphantly removes his skis. Ole Einar Bjoerndalen was fourth.

  17. Biathlonpublished at 15:32 Greenwich Mean Time 10 February 2014

Cheeky, Martin, cheeky. Martin Fourcade punches the air in delight after hitting the target and then skis away with a wide smile on his face. The gold medal must surely be his, non? Ole Einar Bjoerndalen is still in contention and could secure that 13th Olympic medal.

  19. Curlingpublished at 15:27 Greenwich Mean Time 10 February 2014

Martin Fourcade now has a 150m lead over his rivals but enough about the 12.5km pursuit for one second because Britain lead Sweden 1-0 after the first end.

  20. Biathlonpublished at 15:24 Greenwich Mean Time 10 February 2014

There's just 2km remaining in the biathlon pursuit and France's Martin Fourcade has a four-second lead over Austria's Dominik Landertinger. Norway's Ole Einar Bjoerndalen has dropped to sixth so may have to settle for just the 12 Winter Olympic medals.
