    And that brings us to our conclusion. Day 14 didn't exactly go to plan for Great Britain, but the men's curlers can still be very proud of the shiny silver medal they will collect tomorrow, along with the bronze that will be given to the women.

    Bright and early will be the men's slalom skiing - Dave Ryding goes for Great Britain in that one. Later, it's the highly anticipated four-man bobsleigh. GB have been showing good form in practice and will go in the first two of four runs. Also, it's the debut of snowboard parallel - a snowboard duel, if you will.

    It was left for South Korea's Seung-hi Park to take the gold medal, with Russia's Victor An winning his seventh gold in the men's 500m - an event in which Britain's Jon Eley came third in the B final. An followed that up with an eighth gold as part of the victorious Russian team in the men's 5000m relay.

    With her fortune so far in these Games? Not a chance. Even though it looked like Christie was the victim in that collision, both she and Jianrou were penalised. With no right to appeal, Christie's Games were over.

    Also, there was the battling for a place in the men's ice hockey final. After Sweden beat Finland 2-1 in the first semi, heavyweights Canada and the United States met in the second. Following the women's final victory last night, it was Canada who were again celebrating, completing a double with a 1-0 win.
