The fiftyiest: Seems ridiculous that we have a world-class luge athlete in Adam Rosen who can’t place because he hasn’t got the right equipment. How can that happen?

Simon: Why do not all athletes have the same sled in the luge? Surely that's not fair if some are quicker then others?

Stephan Fisher: Hearing that Adam Rosen would have a chance to medal if he had better equipment but the funding isn’t there?! ...How much is a sled?

Luge: Men's single runs three and four

We still have one Brit left to go, Rupert Staudinger is 33rd after two runs, and his hopes of making the top 20 seem extremely slim, but he will be hoping to end his Games on a high note.

    John Jackson
Two-time Olympic bobsledder on BBC TV

There is no difference at all in the lines from Adam Rosen and the likes of Felix Loch but there is a difference in time because they have not got the funding to get the right equipment.

He should hold his head high because he is one of the best sliders in the competition and one of the most consistent. He has beaten the track on every one but the equipment is just not up to the job.

Luge: Men's single runs three and four

Here is Britain's Adam Rosen. But, sadly, he cannot advance into the fourth run. He is down in 22nd at the moment, but only the top 20 get to go again.

Luge: Men's single runs three and four

We are yet to see the crazy moments in the luge that we saw yesterday, but Australian Alex Ferlazzo's heart beat must have suddenly got faster as his third run is a wild one, bouncing off the walls, although he manages to hold on and stay on.

It is some costly mistakes from the Australian and it means he will not be in the top 20 to advance into the final run.

At the moment Loch is leading the charge, and on course to win this event for the third successive Games.

  9. Curling is kind of different, says Mr Tpublished at 11:39 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February 2018

Some more on the news that Mr T, of The A-Team / Rocky 3 fame, is a big fan of curling.

Wonder if he's watching the mixed doubles tie-breaker between China and Norway at the moment? Probably not as it is the middle of the night in America.

If he was watching, he would see that it is tight and tense and 3-3 after three of the eight ends.

  10. Can the Brits qualify for the final run?published at 11:34 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February 2018

Luge: Men's single runs three and four

Meanwhile, back in the luge, Germany's Felix Loch, the reigning champion, is still the man to beat, just as he was after the action yesterday.

After this third run, the field is halved with 20 of the 40 competitors going on to the final run, to sort out the medals.

Will Brits Adam Rosen and Rupert Staudinger advance? After the second run, Rosen was 24th with Staudinger 33rd. Six more competitors then Rosen goes.

    Nick Hope
    BBC Sport in Pyeongchang

He didn’t want to give a formal interview, but ‘Alex’ - who tells me he is a former Russian international biathlete - was very friendly and while watching the men’s slopestyle final tells me he travelled here with his wife from Moscow as a fan.

'Alex' is not part of the Russian delegation in Pyeongchang - hence why he is able to wear Russian kit - and says he is proud to support his nation and take in the Olympic atmosphere.

He says that there is “some” interest in the Olympics back home and that he, like others from Russia, will be following figure skating, hockey, luge, biathlon, cross-country and moguls events during the Games.

  12. Speed skater dedicates medal to Russian athletespublished at 11:28 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February 2018

Now, this is a bit of controversy.

A Russian speed skater has dedicated his country's first medal of the Winter Olympics to his compatriots, who have been banned from the Games in "such a hard and unfair way".

Semen Elistratov, who won bronze for the Olympic Athletes from Russia (OAR) team, is under investigation from the International Olympic Committee (IOC) for his comments.

Russia are banned from competing at the Winter Olympics but 169 of their athletes are allowed to compete as neutrals under the OAR team banner.

After winning his bronze on the opening day of the Games in the 1500m short-track speed skating event the 27-year-old said: "I have difficulties to hold back my tears. I had said before that any individual medal will be a golden or platinum one for me. I am incredibly happy that I did it, in spite of all the circumstances around Russian sport.

"I dedicate this medal to all guys that have been excluded from these Games in such a hard and unfair way. This medal is for you."

His comments are being investigated because they appear to break the rules over making political statements.
