Fourcade and Norwegian rival Johannes Thingnes Bo have won 14 of this season's 15 World Cup between them - Bo has eight wins to Fourcade's six.

The event will see athletes ski three course loops, shooting prone after the first loop and standing after the second.

Luge: Men's single runs three and four

We go in run three, then it is in reverse order in run four, so whoever is leading after run three, will go last in run four and so on.

Felix Loch produces his quickest run so far. He was in the lead, and may well be staying in the lead. His coach gives a celebratory jump in the air and a mini double fist punch.

Loch is the man to beat.

Luge: Men's single runs three and four (11:00 GMT)

Great Britain have two entrants in the luge and Adam 'AJ' Rosen will be looking to better the 16th place luge finishes he achieved at Turin 2006 and Vancouver 2010.

His team-mate, 20-year-old Rupert Staudinger, will look to show his potential before a medal bid in 2022.

After two runs, Rosen is 24th, with Staudinger in 33rd.

  7. More luge gold for Germany?published at 10:55 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February 2018

Luge: Men's single runs three and four (11:00 GMT)

Germany - as East, West or combined - have topped the Olympic luge medal standings at every Games bar one since the sport debuted in 1964 and few would bet against further domination in South Korea.

Their man Felix Loch is looking for a third successive men's singles title, but will be wary of Austrian world champion Wolfgang Kindl who has regularly rivalled and beaten Loch this season.

Loch holds the lead after two of the four runs.

'Melted under the spotlight'published at 10:39 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February 2018

    From BBC Monitoring

South Korean news agency, Yonhap, had some harsh words for the joint Korean women's ice hockey team after they were thrashed 8-0 by Switzerland, saying the players "on the ice melted under that spotlight".

"Apparently too anxious to put on a show before the packed house of 6,000, Korea had a jittery start to the game and never recovered," it notes.

Describing it as a "deflating performance", Yonhap adds that "at the very least, Korea had been expected to put up a good fight" despite low expectations. But it notes that despite the "huge loss, the unified team is being hailed as a great symbol of what the Olympic spirit is all about".

Meanwhile, North Korean state media have focused on the team and cheerleaders - without mentioning the outcome or the score in their reports.

"The appearance of the players and the impressive picture of the cheering groups once again made the spectators feel keenly that the Korean nation is a homogeneous nation which can't live separated from each other," says North Korea's KCNA news agency.

    From BBC Monitoring

South Korean media have defended the joint Korean women's ice hockey team after they were beaten 8-0 by Switzerland in their opening match yesterday.

The Korea Herald notes that the result should not be a surprise as the team is the smallest and youngest team in the women's competition.

"Smaller and less experienced than its first game opponent, Korea looked jittery from the puck drop and never found its groove," it says.

In an article headlined "Women's ice hockey team crushed in scoreless defeat," the Korea Times says goalkeeper Shin So-jong's "splendid performance couldn't stop Switzerland's rout of Korea's unified women's hockey team".

Freestyle Skiing: Ladies' moguls qualification (10:30 GMT)

    BBC Two

The USA, who are sending the largest ever Winter Olympic squad of 242 athletes to Pyeongchang, will undoubtedly be one of the strongest nations at the Games and Jaelin Kauf is among their first medal contenders.

The 21-year-old moguls skier - who has a 'Curious George' cuddly monkey that she takes with her to all events - has enjoyed an impressive breakthrough season.

If you have never seen the moguls, you are in for a treat. Basically you go from the top of the mountain straight down to the bottom. Sounds easy. How about doing that when the course is made of bumps, and throw in a few jumps? Only those with strong knees, strong backs and strong hamstrings need apply.

Enjoy. It is live on BBC Two right now.

    Cross-country skiing and slopestyle snowboarding

    Chemmy Alcott
Four-time Olympic alpine ski racer on BBC TV

Chemmy Alcott and Claire Balding have been trying to answer your questions in the studio and many of you wanted to know about the differences in skiing styles.

    Q: What's the difference between men's cross-country skiing 15km and 15km freestyle?

Chemmy: "The classic style is how they start off. It's very one-dimensional because they ski through the groves. They then change from classic to freestyle skis.

"It's a completely different style now. They are much more angled and the skis are really light. Going downhill on those skis are amazing. The poles are much longer too.

"A mogul ski is much straighter. They need to be short and soft so they can go through the bumps. The heaviest skis are the downhill ones. They are very stiff."
