Generally speaking - these have been well organised, fun Games so far.

The wind is at the moment a complete nightmare for athletes and organisers but to be honest - the biggest problem so far? Internet access.

Whether it’s because of rumoured cyber attacks or the hosts just didn’t expect such volumes of data, it’s constantly dropping out and causing a lot frustration!

How else is anyone going to know you were here if you can’t post that selfie or photo!?

Mixed curling semi-final: Canada 8-4 Norway

Surely that's the ball game (stone game)? Canada take three stones in the seventh and penultimate end to hold a four-point lead over Norway. The Canadians would pretty much have to push all of their stones off the ice in the final end to throw this one away.

The Italians were punching the air at the end of Rizzo's routine, while he was on all fours, practically kissing the ice. (Don't do that, you'll get your tongue stuck). Still, though, he cannot overtake Mikhail Kolyada, who fell over twice...

Oh, hello... British skeleton sliders Lizzy Yarnold and Laura Deas have smashed the first official training at the Alpensia Sliding Centre.

Deas was just 0.01 seconds off Austria's Janine Flock with Yarnold 0.13 seconds behind. Yarnold is attempting to become the first Briton to defend a Winter Olympic title and on this form, she is certainly in the mix to do so. They will have five more training runs down the course before the competition starts on Friday.

Mixed curling semi-final: Canada 5-4 Norway

This one is getting tasty. In the penultimate end, Canada are a point ahead and also hold the hammer. The Canadians topped the group in the round-robin phase, while Norway had to win a play-off against China to reach the last four. Canada has plenty of their red stones on the dancefloor. This could be as good as a matchwinner.

This is what the people came to see. Italy's Matteo Rizzo is cutting some ice to the Beatles' Come Together. All in black, he's got arms and legs everywhere, spinning like a Shane Warne leg-break.

Evening, Samantha. Thanks for being with us. Unfortunately, there's another 15-minute delay to the slopestyle final, so Aimee Fuller and the rest will have to wait until at least 02:15 GMT.

At what point do we start to worry that it won't take place today?

An awful start for OAR, who began the day in second place. Mikhail Kolyada has fallen twice in the early stages of his routine. He's picked himself up of the ice, but his routine to Elvis has lost its gusto.

Remember how London 2012 had the Gamesmakers? Well at Sochi 2014 they were ‘ice makers’, while Rio 2016 probably had bigger problems than naming helpers - BUT THEY’RE BACK for Pyeongchang as...

‘THE PASSION CREW’ - I kid you not. One GB volunteer tells me it’s “toe-curlingly painful to say” but they’re enjoying themselves!

And smiles are important because there’s frustration here as the women’s snowboard slopestyle start is pushed back to at least 2am GMT.

That’s an hour after the initial start time following high winds.

Just getting under way on the Red Button is the men's singles part of the team figure skating.

Just five teams remain, with Canada holding a six-point lead over second-placed OAR.

Today, as well as the men, we have the ladies and the pairs free dance.

The winning team in each discipline gets 10 points, second nine and so on, which means Canada's lead is significant.

  19. 'It's super-gusty'published at 01:01 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2018

    Women's slopestyle final

    Jenny Jones
2014 Olympic bronze medallist snowboarder on BBC TV

We're still hoping that this can happen.

It's super gusty, which means it's just too dangerous for the riders. It's a very normal situation, so too is lack of visibility but I know the athletes themselves are nervous because of that wind as just one gust and you can crash out, breaking bones or sustaining a head injury.

It's definitely the right decision to wait it out and I'm sure Aimee Fuller will get a cup of tea and calm the nerves. She texted me this morning and asked how the wind was - I tried to say it was a little gusty but to just wait and see. She's the same as everyone in that she wants to get on with things but not hurt herself.

What is interesting now is that it's straight into a final. With lots of girls to get through, its not fair if conditions are gusty for some and not for others. Aimee is quite a relaxed character but maybe the younger athletes will get thrown by this.

  20. Delayed women's slopestyle finalpublished at 00:55 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2018

Good lord, I've just seen some live pictures from the Phoenix Snow Park. It's like something out of The Revenant.

The gusts have the full wind sock blowing at 90 degrees to its pole, while the snow is being whipped into a blizzard. Some poor soul on a chairlift looks like they are saying their prayers.

Remember, that final should have been starting in about five minutes, but it will be another hour at least.
