Charlie: Damn Chloe Kim owned that halfpipe. Untouchable!

Dru: What a ride in the women’s half pipe from Chloe Kim. Take a bow young lady, take a bow.

Nick: I know very little about halfpipe but that was bloody beautiful from Kim.

Remember, Chloe Kim is only 17 years old. She's probably got at least two Olympic Games ahead of her. Wonderful stuff. That's three American snowboarding gold medallists, too. Two of them are teenagers. Wonderful stuff.

Wow. Absolutely brilliant run from Chloe Kim and certainly no disputing who takes the gold medal. I think we might be looking at the beginning of a very long reign for a new queen of halfpipe snowboarding.

Just look at what it means, not just to the Americans but the South Koreans who have claimed her as their own. I think everyone expected this, but what i'm really pleased about is that we have seen her pushed.

    Women's halfpipe

98.25! Near perfection for Chloe Kim, who celebrates with the stars and stripes and runs for a hug from her parents.

Jiayu Lu of China takes the silver and America's Arielle Gold wins bronze.

The halfpipe, though, belongs to Chloe Kim.

Good lord. That was incredible. Kim lands back-to-back 1080 spins to celebrate her gold medal.

All hail the queen of halfpipe snowboarding.

Chloe Kim, the 17-year-old superstar from the United States, is the Olympic champion. Her first run was good enough for gold and she knows she's done it before she heads down the halfpipe for the third time. A high-five at the top of the course. The final run will be a victory lap.

Disappointment for Maddie Mastro, another American 17-year-old. Mastro, second in the world rankings and an X Games bronze medallist, has crashed three times. Only two more riders stand between Chloe Kim and gold...

Apparently, Chloe Kim sent that tweet four minutes ago. I'm not sure what to make of that. I mean, it seems a bit iffy that athletes are allowed to use their phones during competitions. If it is her, is it a strange thing to say, even if you are trying to be cool?

Tough to watch. Australian Emily Arthur faceplants the snow, her head cracking back like its on a piece of string. She just about manages to walk away from the pipe with the aid of medical staff.

To set the scene, the sunshine is glistening off the white half-tube. The crowd is at the bottom, the mouth of the pipe. At the top, the riders pause, gathering their thoughts, before heading into the 160m course strapped to a wheel-free skateboard. It's a great sight, the freshness of sun on snow. It's still well below freezing, though.

"U-S-A, U-S-A," comes the chant from the crowd as Arielle Gold moves into bronze-medal position. Remember, the Americans took gold in both the men and women's slopestyle, too. She might not be there for long, though. Kelly Clark has just pulled off something very tidy...

It's about keeping your nerve and keeping your body relaxed now.

If you're too tense then your timing and style will be off. Those fine timings can affect your spin, your axis and all of a sudden you've blown it. Relax and breathe out.
