A racing snowplough for Cornelia Huetter - she got her ski tips crossed. Not the way she wanted to finish her run.

Women's downhill
Agony for Austria's Cornelia Huetter, the first woman out of the gate, when a leg-splitting mistake at the end of her run costs precious time. Corinne Sutter of Switzerland immediately takes advantage, but her time is then beaten by Tina Weirather of Liechtenstein. Leadership hot potato. Lindsey Vonn goes out seventh.

Mark: Very well played by Eve in the eighth end. The penultimate stone in particular was a gem.

Smiles all round.
This game is now tied up and that scoreboard looks much, much better for Great Britain.
Canada 4-4 Great Britain
That went about as well as it could have done for GB. They level things up and make this a two-end match. Team conflab, all fist bumps and words of encouragement. What odds on this one going to extra ends?

The arena has almost emptied since South Korea wrapped up their win over OAR.
The Canadians are still in full voice though, whooping and hollering at every opportunity.
There are a few Swedish fans dotted about too. The Swedes are currently leading China 5-3 after seven ends.
Canada 4-2 Great Britain
Meanwhile, crucial times in the eighth end of this one. GB have to figure out how to remove two Canadian stones from the house and put their own score on the board.
Women's downhill
And if you want to see what these women are up against, watch this. Our very own Graham Bell take to the slope, whilst filming at the same time. Impressive.
Plenty going on in Pyeongchang at the moment. The second heats in the big and the ski cross seeding runs are to come, but attention will turn to the women's downhill for a little while.
Each competitor gets one run and one run alone. Brutal. Sudden death.
The main challengers will be out of the start gates early, too.

Canada’s Max Parrot topped the first heat standings and was pleased with his morning’s work. Can he win gold on Saturday to add to his slopestyle silver? “It would be amazing but I just want to ride the best I can.” How does the Olympics compare to X Games? “The music needs to be louder and the crowds are a bit quieter!”

Another blanked end and Great Britain not managing to build the opportunity there when it looked like they might be able to. GB will now look to use the hammer in the eighth.
Canada 4-2 Great Britain
This is tighter than a speed skater's lycra. "Easy," shouts Anna Sloan as Eve Muirhead's final brick rattles in to blank this seventh end. Three to go, GB two behind, but perhaps with the hammer in ends eight and 10.

Simply Chris: Red Gerard didn't deserve that. Stale Sandbech and Rowan Coultas had much more challenging jumps and better landings. Fine margins...

Considering he’s just missed out on making the final by 0.5 a point, Britain’s Rowan Coultas is still smiling.
“I knew it was going to be tight and I was so close,” he told me.
“I’m really pleased I landed my two jumps and it was the first time I’d landed a triple in competition.”

The South Koreans have caught curling fever.
The women's team trounce OAR 11-2 to make it seven wins from eight matches. They had already qualified for the semi-finals before today's match and have one more to go in the round robin stage against Denmark.
The four team members, who have become so popular here at the Games, do a lap of honour and the fans wave their banners and scream their names to congratulate them.

Women's downhill
Remember, the women's downhill begins at 02:00 GMT. Linsey Vonn, champion in 2010, will look to regain the crown she relinquished when injury stopped her from competing in Sochi. With no Mikaela Shiffrin, there will be no contest between perhaps the two greatest female skiers of all time. In fact, it could be quite an open competition.

I don't understand why Canada haven't blanked the end there. They take the one, but Britain now have the hammer. Surely it's a mistake.
Canada 4-2 Great Britain
Have they done that on purpose? Or was it a mistake? Canada, with the chance to blank the end and take the hammer to the seventh, fail to get their stone out of the house and earn a point. Yes, they stretch their lead, but they give GB the chance to get back in this.

I found the Cat in the Hat! Or the Pat in the Hat, as his name's Patrick.
It turns out the noisy clan of supporters are all family and friends of the Canada coach, Adam Kingsbury.
They said it would be a huge disappointment if the women's team didn't make it to the semi-finals and explained curling is almost as a big a deal as ice hockey over there.
