Women's curling final: Sweden 8-3 South Korea

    Steve Cram

The Swedes have been by far the best in this final. It's their gold medal!

A clinical performance, they controlled the atches fromthe early stages and never let Korea get going. They are jumping for joy.

Korea have so much to be proud of. The silver medal is something I'm not sure any of the Koreans could have dreamed of before the start of these Games.

Sweden have been getting better and better as the competition has gone on.

Women's curling final: Sweden 8-3 South Korea

All over! Sweden regain the Olympic title after missing out four years ago. Complete dominance from Anna Hasselborg and her rink of Sara McManus, Agnes Knochenhauer and Sofia Mabergs.

South Korea pause after the ninth end is concluded. Is it worth carrying on or not? No. They shake hands with their European rivals, who then pile on top of each other in celebration.

Women's curling final: Sweden 8-3 South Korea (after end eight)

Sweden have got their games faces back on as they size up their options ahead of their penultimate stone.

Anna Hasselborg, who has the hammer remember, drops one into the middle of the house, which Korean rival Kim Eun-jung cleans out with her final stone.

Hasselborg needs to make a monumental error with hers to keep this match going... she doesn't.

Even though the result is only going one way, the crowd remain so enthusiastic, cheering on every shot the South Koreans make.

It’s packed in here, standing room only.

Lee Fergusson: The Korean team have played so well this week but it looks like they are going to be beaten by Sweden who have played much better on the day!!

Miss Moz: Feeling for the Korean curling team, but Sweden have been so good all tournament. McManus has set up for Hasselborg brilliantly. Fair play!

Sweden's whole demeanour has raised. They've got a comfortable lead, so they can relax and play some really impressive curling.

Women's curling final: Sweden 7-3 South Korea (after end eight)

The Swedish girls are having fun now. They're pinging down some Hollywood stones, laughing and joking around if they come off or not.

More often than not, they're coming off. Sarah McManus - of Scottish descent you won't be surprised to learn with that name - grabs a pair of Korean stones by the scruff of the neck and hoys them out of the house with brute force.

    What a shot!

Korea take a one with two ends to go.

If they were to pull this back, it would be one of the greatest comebacks in Olympic history.

The crowd haven't had a lot to cheer but they realise the writing is on the wall here. Sweden are just trying to stay cool now and try not to get too complacent.

This is far too easy for the Swedes. South Korea's rink, known as the Garlic Girls because of their rise together from schoolmates in a small garlic-growing region of their country, just haven't got cooking.

Kim Eun-jung pulls one back but time is running out.

Sweden are very relaxed now. It's a very nice position to be in.

Their hearts will be pumping but they need to stay calm. They know that the end is close.

Korea have just frozen. It's been too big of an occasion for them at this stage of their career.

They've won nine out of 11 matches at the Olympic Games though!

Sweden know they don't want to give any help to the Koreans. The Koreans don't give up though, their demeanour never changes.

The big screens in the Olympic Park have been tuned into the curling, so the locals can watch their ‘Garlic Girls’ in action.

A few seem to have set up camp for the long-haul with breakfast picnics.

Luckily the grim weather we had on Saturday has cleared.

    Four-man bobsleigh

Heat three is all over in the four-man bobsleigh and in truth not much has changed.

Going into the final run, Francesco Friedrich's German sled is 0.42 seconds clear at the top and looks a class above the rest.

South Korea are second and the other German sled is third.

GB have confirmed their place in the final run but only in 17th and 18th place.

The final run starts at 02:15 GMT.

Anna Hasselborg can almost grab the gold medal with a three from this shot. It's a huge opportunity for the Swedish skip and she knows it.

The brushes are raised and Sweden know that was a huge shot. It's in favour of Sweden with just three ends to go.

Perfection! Swedish skip Anna Hasselborg eats these shots like me and thee eat porridge for breakfast. Quick with no spillage.

Hasselborg nicks that Korean stone out of the way to get a three and a long sniff of that gold medal.

South Korea skip Kim Eun-jung sticks on her game face: it's getting serious now.

She tries to stick her last stone in front of one of Sweden's two... her length looks good.. but has she got the line?

Get this wrong and Sweden have chance for a three.. the line is not quite right. Eeek.

Someone pass the South Koreans some balaclavas and gloves: they need to go on the steal here.

It's not looking promising though as we pass the halfway stage of the seventh end. Sweden have the hammer and it's not shaping up as though skip Anna Hasselborg will have too much work to do.
