Here's Britain's Billy Morgan, who won bronze in the men's snowboard big air earlier: “What a wild ride that was. It’s wild, I had such a bad training and thought it was game over – I went into the runs and thought ‘I better not fall over’ as everyone at home would be devastated, all my mates are watching in a bar.

"If I landed one jump I’d be stoked. I thought I needed two goes at it, as I didn’t land one in practice - I got a big sore bum - I just landed and was like ‘urgh I don’t know what to do’.

"It’ll hit me later, I never expected it. If you come in shooting for a medal you’re ready, but I just didn’t… I would have been stoked if I made the final in either.”

Curling: Men's final Sweden 4-3 United States (after end five)

Ooooh! John Shuster's final stone slips by a Swedish guard with millimetres to spare, then evades everything else as it races through.

That leaves Sweden with the advantage as skip Niklas Edin sends down his final stone, gliding it into the centre of house and picking up a two.

What a turnaround! Time for a breather after a breathless first half.

Curling: Men's final Sweden 2-3 United States (after end four)

Safety first for the Americans. They've dinked a guard down the middle... but is it too short? Swedish skip Niklas Edin can get around it...just. His penultimate stone ends in the button and pendulum suddenly swings back towards the middle..

The Americans smell a big opportunity here. Tyler George eases one down the left side of the sheet, leaving three stones lying and another two in close proximity. And they're all spread around nicely.

Sweden are on a one-way trip to Trouble Town. Oskar Eriksson clunks down his final stone, leaving his team vulnerable with two stones left apiece.

Sweden need a response here. However, it is the Americans who up the anter further. They begin the fifth end by packing the house with their yellow stones, pumping the pressure onto the Swedes.

It's a really good standard being set for the gold medal match from both teams.

John Shuster really is playing well for the USA, and is it a steal?

Yes. Not by much but it's crucial in terms of confidence. USA have the lead.

Jinxed. John Shuster goes for exactly the same shot, a bit risky is this. Oh dear... he might as well have given Niklas Edin a knife and fork. A two is on a plate for the Swedish skip...

Shuster leaves his final stone next to his previous one, ideal for Edin to take them both out with his final stone.

But... he's not executed it. And both stones look almost equidistant from the middle of the house.

On skates an official with a nifty measuring device, this is too close to call for the human eye. he points to yellow - it's an American steal!

Curling: Men's final Sweden 2-2 United States (after end three)

    Get in the hole!

John Shuster is in the zone. The American skip guides his penultimate stone through the gate of two stones guarding the house, nudging a Swede stone out and leaving his effort in the four-foot zone.

Swedish counterpart Niklas Edin goes for the same shot, only to leave it a little thin and drifting out of the back door.

Curling: Men's final Sweden 2-2 United States (after three ends)

The cameras focus on Ivanka Trump chanting U-S-A, U-S-A. And she has a lot to cheer about in a thrilling end three.

The US are poised to go from 2-0 down to 2-2, but Sweden get their angles right to bump both stones out of the house, only for the US to then score two anyway. We are tied at 2-2. We have a game on. Ivanka is happy, USA are happy and it is 2-2.

    Cross-country skiing men's 50km

What a finish to this 50km trek... Finland's Iivo Niskanen has gone for it, he's left Alexander Bolshunov in his snow tracks behind him and the Olympic Athlete from Russia just can't keep pace.

That is the gold medal for Niskanen... his first individual Olympic title after taking gold in the team sprint four years ago.

Gutsy from the Finn, and there's plenty of blue and white in the grandstand to wave him home.

    Silver for Bolshunov.

Bad news for Mr T. Sweden jump into the lead in the men's curling final. The United States left a chance, and the Swedes pounce with two to take a 2-0 lead.

Two ends gone, with a minimum of eight ends and a maximum of 10 overall in this final so loads of time for T's boys to sort this out.

Alexander Bolshunov, of the Olympic athletes from Russia, has a narrow lead in the men's 50km cross-country skiing as they head into the stadium, only a few kilometres to go.

Finland's Iivo Niskanen was flying, but Bolshunov tracked him down with just over 10km to go and it looks set for a sprint to the line...
