GB snowboarder Zoe Gillings-Brier speaking on BBC TV: "You've got two completely different sports here.

"To carry on doing both skiing and snowboarding from such a young age, and to become brilliant at both, that's astounding.

"She'll need two different muscle groups for her two sports, so she'll need to train both of those at the same time."

Ester Ledecka has already made history to compete in both snowboarding and alpine skiing at an Olympic Games before this race starts.

Absolutely incredible! It's a gold medal in both! It has never been done before in modern Olympic times.

She was so unprepared in the super G that she didn't bring her make-up! I'm sure she has it with her today.

It's probably the best story of these Games. What an athlete. It's hard enough doing one discipline in alpine skiing!

    She's done it!

Incredible from Ester Ledecka, who wins her second gold medal of the Games in a second different sport. Astonishing.

Ledecka, who won the alpine skiing super-G title last week, looks in control from the start against Joerg.

The German briefly threatens a fightback before Ledecka eases home with 0.46 to spare.

    Here we go then.

In the blue corner... it's Selina Joerg.

In the red corner.. it's Ester Ledecka.

Can the German stop hot favourite Ledecka making history?

Germany's Ramona Theresia Hofmeister sees off Alena Zavarzina to get a place on the podium.

Korea are guaranteed a medal! Lee Sangho can't believe it. I can't believe it.

He was so far back but an absolute charge over the last six gates.

Wow. Look at that finish! Any closer and that would have been a tie.

Who's Galmarini going to face in the final? The majority of those in Pyeongchang are hoping it is Lee Sangho.

The South Korean is in a spot of bother as he goes wide of a gate about halfway down... but wait! He's fighting back...

It's a dash for the line... Slovenia's Zan Kosir has his arm in the air, he thinks he's won. Has he?

NO!!! Unbelievable. Lee Sangho nicks it by 0.01 of a second. The home crowd go wild! Even Pyeongchang mascot Soohorang does a victory jig.

Oh, I forgot to mention... Joerg's win has finally got blue on the board!

France's Sylvain Dufour is next in that lane as attention switches to the men's semi-finals, but next to him is Sochi silver medallist Nevin Galmarini.

Galmarini is flying. He's never in trouble on his way to the final.

As the stakes get higher, the risks increase. Alina Zavarzina pushes herself further as she tries to cut Germany's Selina Joerg narrow lead, and pays the price when she slides off the track.

Joerg is through and tees up a gold-medal race against Ledecka.

Whatever happens, Ester Ledecka is a double Olympic medallist in alpine skiing and snowboarding.

That's just greedy! There has been a huge amount of hard work put into it. She started skiing at the age of two, and snowboarding at five, and didn't want to stop either!

Her grandfather competed at the Olympic Games in 1964 and 1968 for the then-Czechoslovakian ice hockey team. Her father is a musician and composer and has written musicals. A very successful family!

Semi-final time for the ladies. Ester Ledecka's record bid continues. And she's in the red lane...

German opponent Ramona Theresia Hofmeister sets off quicker than a greyhound, taking an early lead of 0.25 seconds. Ledecka starts to battle back... and Hofmeister is down!

Was she starting to feel the heat? Who knows. But we do know that the favourite is guaranteed her another medal in another sport after winning gold in the Alpine skiing Super G last week.

Surely it's going to end now? Austrian legend Benjamin Karl is down in the red lane for the final quarter-final against home favourite Lee Sangho.

Oh hello,,, Karl makes an error early doors and can't recover. He's out!

Swiss opponent Julie Zogg loses her footing at a gate on the bottom part of the course and that gives Zavarzina an easy win.

Germany's Selina Joerg nabs the final semi-final spot.

Fancy skiing non-stop for 50km? No, me neither.

However, that's what Great Britain's Andrew Musgrave is doing now as he's just got under way in the men's cross-country skiing 50km mass start classic. You can watch all the action above or on the Red Button.

Musgrave made British cross-country history with a seventh-place finish in his first event of the Games - the skiathlon on 11 February.

The 27-year-old is now taking part in the most gruelling event, the men’s 50km. He tweeted yesterday: “It's going to be long, hard and brutal... Just the way cross-country skiing is meant to be!”

He registered Britain’s best result at a cross-country World Championships when he was fourth in the 50km last year. But that was a race held in his favoured freestyle technique – this one is raced in the classic style.

Fellow Briton Callum Smith is also taking part in this race.
