    Bobsleigh training

Tweeting about the remarkable effort from GB's women in the bobsleigh, in which they finished a British best of eighth, former Olympian John Jackson said: "This could be the best result for the GB Bobsleigh programme. Still the four-man event to come this weekend, not impossible, but unlikely to be in the top eight. Hope they prove me wrong."

Men's curling bronze medal: Switzerland 6-3 Canada

And that is two for Switzerland!

A gentle final stone comes curling in to the centre, and it's another two for Switzerland after the seventh end.

Well, this end was swinging one way and then the other and back again! I'm not sure quite what is going wrong with Kevin Koe but we saw it against the USA yesterday.

    Eesh.

Another iffy shot from Kevin Koe - his final stone wipes out one Swiss stone, but nudges his own to the side in the process.

A chance for Switzerland to draw two...

Switzerland do indeed hit that Canadian yellow - but their own stone spins out as well!

Bit of fortune for the Canadians.

That is not a good shot from Kevin Koe. You can pick your shot but you still have to play it. They only improve the situation for Switzerland and that is not a smile [from Koe.] It is more like a grimace which says 'what have I done?'

    Men's big air

Aimee Fuller, speaking to BBC TV on Saturday's big air final featuring fellow Briton Billy Morgan: "Billy Morgan - what a legend. Do I need to say more?

"He is the first man to ever do a quad cork. His aerial awareness is like nobody else's.

"I spoke with him after training yesterday and he's got two big tricks to show.

"I think we will see some world firsts. I was hearing of backside 18s, so I think it's going to be a very exciting show.

"The standard is so high. He is more than capable of being on the podium."

There's two Swiss stones in the very centre of the circle, but Canada are doing their best to block them in.

Canada have taken a time-out - coach is on his way down for a conflab.

Close to a double take out for Switzerland as they cannon into the Canadian guard, but Peter de Cruz misses the second stone by the teeniest of margins.

    Freestyle Skiing: Women's ski cross

Britain's Emily Sarsfield reached the quarter-final stages of the women's ski cross earlier, before being knocked out.

Sarsfield has been on the ski circuit for 12 years - 11-and-a-half of which were self funded.

"I have funded it by setting up a ski school, I have worked multiple jobs through the summer," she said.

"It's a different route to my peers but it just makes me that little bit more hungry.

"Luckily British Ski and Snowboard employed a coach six months ago and he is with me here today, but 11-and-a-half years, I was basically learning this sport by following girls, copying them, watching what they were doing on videos and giving it a shot myself."

Does she take her ski school pupils down the ski cross curses?

"Sometimes, if they are up for it. The middle-aged ladies don't really fancy it but the little ones love it."

    Curling: Women's semi-final (Sweden v GB 11:05 GMT)

British women's curling skip Eve Muirhead, speaking to BBC and reflecting on winning Olympic bronze in Sochi 2014: "When I lost that semi-final [against Canada in 2014] it was definitely the most devastating one of my career.

"To come home with a medal was outstanding though. Now I've had a taste of that Olympic podium I just want to work my way up.

"The Olympic gold medal is the only one I'm missing from my collection. I've put in a ton of work to get to where I am.

"To stand at the top of the podium would be extra, extra special."

Apologies, my maths is off - it's Canada who have the hammer in end six.

They're shutting up shop at the minute, blocking up the centre line before Kevin Koe spins his penultimate stone right on top of the sole Swiss red that's in the house.
