    It's been peerless from Sweden.

A sad sense of inevitability about the outcome now.

Mixed doubles bronze-medal match: Sweden 9-1 GB (after five ends)

IOC grand fromage Thomas Bach is here, looking over the ice...

Oskar Eriksson, the male half of the Swedish pair, misjudges one for the first time in a while. He clears out his own red stone and Britain are up in house.

Mixed doubles bronze-medal match: Sweden 9-1 GB (after five ends)

A nice stone from Jen Dodds, cosying up into the red bullseye. Three stones left for each team... Britain lying two, I think. Need the tape measure to be sure.

Jen Dodds is facing difficult shots every time she plays.

Once more it is Sweden, who comes away with the score on the British power play.

    The Swedish are bossing this.

Jen Dodds went slush or bust with a final stone. Reminiscent of some of my pool playing, smashing the balls as hard as possible in the desperate hope of finding a pocket and a way back into the game.

It doesn't come off for the Scot. Sweden sneak a further point ahead.

All of the yellows that GB play have to be in the house now.

We need to get multiples in there.

A smattering of applause for Bruce Mouat's stone, which clunks into the house and removes a Swedish resident.

Two stones left for each pair...

Sweden are lying three, meaning the scoreline will be heading out to 11-1 if it stays the same. Time for Bruce Mouat and Jen Dodds to gamble big....

I think Jen took way too much ice there - she wanted to be much further across.

Jen Dodds' first stone is a bit nothing-much effort, not getting up in the house, not cutting off the angles for the Swedes.

There's not a lot of communication going on down there. Jen's smiling, but there's no big motivational talk there.

You've got to be pumping these guys up and telling them they're world champions and they have to get back on there.

Win from this position, and it would be an incredible comeback.

Coaches Dave Murdoch and Greg Drummond were just trying to pick up Jen Dodds and Bruce Mouat there.

It only takes one big score to get things going. But this Swedish pair are on fire.

This is a high risk shot for GB.

Jen Dodds knew instantly when that left her hand that she wasn't happy with it.

The Swedes are forcing the errors out of GB... and the errors keep coming.

  16. Sweden move 8-1 aheadpublished at 06:55 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2022

Curling mixed doubles - Sweden 8-1 Great Britain (after four ends)

Jen Dodds sends one down at pace in a move that Steve Cram calls "a high risk".

As soon as it comes out of her hand, she's not happy with it and Sweden stretch their lead further, taking it to 8-1 after four ends at the halfway mark.

We're kind of waiting for Sweden to make an error here. Doesn't look likely at the moment.

The Swedish team in the stands loved that shot from Oskar Eriksson.
